Visiting Midnight Castle is always tricky. The dreamers who live there have the worst nightmares.
Once, I accidentally stumbled into a nightmare of one of the prisoners in the deepest levels of the dungeon. I don’t know what they do to the prisoners here, but it must be something fiercely bad. I barely made it out of that nightmare alive.
That was the first time I wondered what happens if I die or get eaten in a nightmare. For most people, it’s an academic question. For me, it’s something I intend to do my best to never find out.
