Chapter 10 The second agent is easier to convince, thank goodness. She’s known as Dahlia. Like Black Rose, no one knows her real name. Her job at the castle is to serve the ladies-in-waiting who attend to the princess. Dahlia is wiry and looks like she could use a good meal. Her hair is pulled back with a strip of cloth and, although she’s well dressed by servant standards, she has a meek look to her that makes others easily dismiss her. Little do they know that Silver personally trained her. Dahlia could probably kill half a dozen royal guards before anyone had time to scream. “There’s a meeting tomorrow night,” I say. “Same time, same place.” Dahlia nods.
