"Asher, calm down!" Mom says as dad tries to speed up the car. It's already too fast and he almost wants this to fly or teleport. Because that's exactly how he is driving.
And I don't know why my mind is pointing out the differences between mom and Avery now. The way mom is calling him Asher and the way Avery calls him just Ash.
"She might come back at any time and we need to be prepared," Dad says and I know that they are talking about Avery.
I saw her in my room. I literally saw her in my room just seconds before my family barged in. I remember seeing her even after they walked in. But she disappeared the moment Aunt Phoebe sprayed some Ash all over my room.
Was it to hurt her? Is she hurt now? Where does she go when she is hurt?
