Chapter 3: Getting Acquainted
The first night living in this body…
Ummm… it felt like a groom gently lifting the red veil from his bride on their wedding night.
I — once a soul who had ascended to godhood — now had to learn how to live all over again, from the beginning, in the body of a modern young woman.
Everything was… strange.
From changing clothes, going to the restroom,
to figuring out bizarre artifacts like phones, computers, wifi, and social media…
They call it the internet — a place filled with boundless knowledge… and just as much chaos.
But truthfully… I should consider myself lucky.
At the very least, I’ve reincarnated into a wealthy household.
Back then, when I was a young cultivator training under my master and senior brothers on Mount Huyền Vân, we lived with constant scarcity.
Cultivation helped me transcend worldly needs, but we still had to worry about everything: ink, paper, herbal medicine, and even rare spiritual tools — which we could hardly afford.
We once used tree leaves as paper, and blood as ink…
And now — here I am, lying on a bed as soft as clouds, wrapped in thick blankets scented with lavender.
I had slept for a long time…
And during that sleep — I dreamed.
I saw the moment I ascended to godhood.
A faint, glowing orb appeared in the Ninth Heaven, slowly drifting toward me — light as mist, soft as silk.
But the instant that light touched my soul, everything… changed.
I remember it clearly…
My soul was forcefully torn from my divine body.
I couldn’t resist. I couldn’t control it.
All I could do was float — helpless — watching myself being pulled away from my destined path.
And then I woke up.
My heart was still beating.
My breath still steady.
But cold sweat soaked my back.
That dream… wasn’t a dream.
It was a memory — the truth.
