He looked like a superstar. He's wearing a black shirt, jeans and a black coat. He looked like he's from an action movie. He's wearing sunglasses and he still has those red highlights at the end of his hair strands. As much as she wanted to laugh because of his whole features, she can't. This man might be a friend of that killer.
She's already waiting outside their house. Mavis will be staying with their neighbor for a sleep over.
"Hi Flare," he waved. What are we now? Friends?
"How did you know my name?" she hissed. She's trying to compose herself. She's feeeling her knees shaking again but she didn't want to show the obvious.
"Research," he answered. "I'm Blake," he introduced himself with a smile. She didn't want to be fooled by his aura. He offered a hand shake but she didn't take it.
"That's very rude of you," he commented when I didn't take his hand to shake.
"You came here uninvited. That's not rude?" she countered. He smiled. His smile is a killer.
"We really have to fix your temper. Have you eaten?" he asked. She suddenly felt her sweat.
"I'm not hungry," she answered. He was few inches away from her. He was looking at her with so much amusement.
"I never thought he'll find you. When everything seems so hopeless, you suddenly came in out of the blue," he told her, smiling. And that confused her. His comments were vague and that left her with so much confusion.
"Who are you, really?" she asked. "What are you?" she continued.
That silenced him. She's starting to feel cold. It was already dark and she can't seem to notice anyone.
"What do you think?" he asked, challenging her.
"What? I'm the one asking you. I don't know. What I know is that guy, he killed two men with his bare hands. It's not something a human is capable of doing," she replied.
He was intently looking at her. And then he was suddenly looking at a different direction. And then he looked at her. And then the sky.
"Can we talk inside?" he asked.
"Why?" she whispered. He's acting weird, looking at different directions and then looking at her.
She suddenly felt the wind kissed her nape. And all her hair at the back raised.
She took one step backward but she was bumped in someone else's body. It's like a stone wall. It didn't took a second to realize who it could be. She smelled him. His scent and his breathing, it all seems familiar to her. And there were shadows circling Blake. She blinked. There's only the two of them, but it seems that she will be having a lot of company tonight.
She's feeling her heart wanting to get out of her chest. Her tongue left her speechless. She can't even think straight.
"I'll explain myself, my Lord," Blake shouted. He was looking at her. No. He was looking at the guy behind her.
"Did he touch you?" he whispered to my ear. I wanted to turn around and looked at him. I want to do it badly. But my knees were shaking with fear. I shook my head. I still don't feel like talking.
He started talking on a language I do not understand. Blake answered in the same language. I can feel his words trembling. His eyes were full of fear.
Four shadows held Blake and he started shouting. My eyes went wide open and my vision was blocked by the palm of the guy behind me. When he took his palm out of my sight, Blake and the four shadows were gone. I swallowed, hard.
My knees gave in and I slammed myself to sit on where I'm standing. He carried me.
"You can't stay here," he whispered again. He opened the door and put me on the sofa. I looked at him.
I feel like I was looking at him as if he was food. Mouth watering.
He is pale, long black hair with red at the end of the strands. His eyes were reddish black, like maroon or crimson. She can't get a grasp of the the real color but one thing for sure, his stare was oozing with so much power at charisma. He is deliciously hot.
I swallowed hard. Things like this will make you swallowed hard.
"Do you really do that? Talk to a stranger?" he asked with creased brows. And I'm just staring at him with open mouth.
I noticed that my not responding made him looked at me like he'll tear me in half.
"Huh?" I asked, not remembering what he said.
"Huh?" he mimicked me. "You almost died and all you're going to say is 'Huh'?" he asked sarcastically.
I blinked, realizing that his throwing banters at me.
"Well, first things first, how the f**k would I know if he's into killing me? You all dress the same with that red highlights on your hair. And trust me, I'm already expose to killing that I don't really give a s**t anymore if I die," I confronted him while I'm feeling my temper soaring up in the sky.
I felt the wind and it's giving me chills. What the heck?
"You said you have a brother that's why you don't want to die," he countered. I narrowed my eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked, not minding his remark.
He looked at me. Torned. Why?
"You have to leave this place. I will personally accompany you to a safe place. You and your fami---"
"Wait, what?" I cut off.
"It's not safe here. You have to leave," he repeated. His voice sounds worried.
"Why? No way! This is my home. And why--"
"Do you want to die? Because I can assure you that your life and your family's won't be the same anymore. You actually smell like a food right now," he hissed.
Am I crazy hearing that I smell like food?
"Would you be so kind and explain this to me? This whole killing and leaving? Like, what the f**k, you came into my house and tell me to leave because I smell like food? Are you crazy?" I shouted at him, trying to make a sense.
"That temper of yours," he snided. His eyes were looking at me like he wanted to kill me. But I am not afraid anymore.
"Oh no you don't! Don't f*****g change the subject," I swore.
He took two steps towards me. I didn't made a move. Not one step backwards.
"You don't want to get involve here, trust me. And I don't intend involving you. So just LEAVE. THIS. PLACE. NOW." he whispered.
"NO!" I shouted!
I suddenly feel my heart beats fast and hard. Because as I speak, I felt the wind gushes out of my body, like an explosion.
"Oh no," he spitted. He looked up to the ceiling while he covered his face with his palm. His long hair was waving through the wind.
I am feeling the wind in my right hand as I openmouthed-ly stare at it. My pointing finger looks like it has a bluish gray light.
What the heck is going on. I'm feeling my eyes hot with tears. I'm confused and it looks like I'm not going to get any answer.
"W-What's happening? What is this?" I panicked. The wind is circling in my right hand with bluish gray light.
I suddenly felt his hand holding the wind. It was warm. He has warm hands. And the wind just disappeared, as if he commanded it to be gone. He was looking at me with hate and exasperation.
"I didn't even know that I can do that!" I explained as if he's asking me.
"Congratulations. You are now involved." he said sarcastically.
I was dumbfounded. I can't move or think or say anything. I collapsed and on my knees. He kneel down. He bled his finger and trace his blood on my wrist. He's writing something I don't understand.
"You have been officially marked, my poison," he whispered. His voice is trembling, like he wanted to do something to me. I just don't have any idea if he wanted to kill me or to get me naked?
