He Showed Me Around

POV: Olivia The walls were coated in a deep grey hue, and a massive King-size poster bed dominated the center of the room. To the right, there were two doors that provided access to the bathroom and closet. However, on the left side... My breath hitched. There were expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that opened up to a large balcony, which I was certain offered more breathtaking views than the ones I'd glimpsed in the hallway. A sizable 85” television was mounted on the wall, with a fireplace situated beneath it. Additionally, there were two armchairs flanking the bed. I set my handbag down onto the bed and took a seat slowly. Overall, everything I'd observed about this room was absolutely incredible. I rose from the bed, making my way to the first door on the right, which I opened. Just as I suspected, it led to a bathroom, but wow—it was astonishingly spacious. The floors were adorned with black marble, and the countertops matched. The cabinets and cupboards were also painted black. The shower was expansive, featuring a rain showerhead and wall-mounted nozzles that sprayed water as well. There was a large jacuzzi tub too, accompanied by an enormous bay window that showcased a stunning view of the water and coastline. A 45” flat-screen television was mounted on the wall, and there was a small seating area included as well. I shook my head, utterly amazed by it all. I walked through the other door, which led into the most colossal closet I had ever seen. My belongings had already been unpacked, and they didn’t even occupy half of the available closet space. I gazed around in wonder, taking in the seating area and the vanity within the room. It boasted yet another breathtaking view of the coastline, which made me shake my head in disbelief. I walked back through the door leading to the bedroom and approached the final door. When I opened it, I was taken aback to find it was an office. Inside, there was an expansive glass desk with a plush-looking leather chair and two additional chairs in front. The space was sufficiently large for me to establish a spot for my artwork. Behind the leather chair was once again that astonishing view. The room was also equipped with a television. I stepped back into the bedroom, once more awestruck by this incredible place. I lay down on the bed for a few moments with my eyes closed, still feeling somewhat weary. After a bit, I sat up and unzipped my boots, removing them, then took off my sweater, leaving myself in just my bra and jeans. As I unbuttoned my jeans and started to pull them down, the door suddenly swung open, and Dominic walked in. I let out a scream, trying to yank my jeans back up. “Jesus f*****g Christ! Could you not knock?!” I shouted, shooting him a glare. “My house, sweetheart. I do what the hell I want,” he replied with a casual tone, shutting the door behind him. “And remember, you’re my wife now?” I rolled my eyes and muttered a few curse words under my breath. “What do you want?” I inquired while crossing my arms over my chest. His gaze darkened as it roamed over my figure, and a pleasurable heat rushed through my skin. When his eyes returned to mine, the expression in them made me want to shrink away. “Aren’t you going to cover up?” His accent was thick as he spoke, sending a shiver down my spine. “No. You barged in while I was changing, so deal with it. After all, I’m your wife, remember?” I shot back. He stalked toward me, and I quickly backed away, attempting to flee into the bathroom. My attempt was in vain as he caught me, pinning me against the wall. “You broke the rules, Dominic. You broke the rules, not me. What do you want?” I confronted him. “You drive me f*****g insane,” he growled. “I could say the same about you,” I mumbled. He flashed a wolfish grin, prompting me to roll my eyes. “Can I help you?” I asked again. He chuckled, stepping back and sliding his hands into his pockets. “I just wanted to check if you were ready for a tour of the house,” he said. My eyes widened as I regarded him incredulously. “You want to give me a tour?” I queried. He rolled his eyes, exhaling in exasperation. “Forget it—,” I interrupted him once more. “Fine, okay. You can give me a tour of the house,” I agreed. I adjusted my jeans and slid my sweater back on before heading into the closet to put on my Nike slides. I returned to where he was standing with his phone. “Let’s go,” I muttered, smiling. First of all, this house was incredibly vast. However, I couldn’t deny that every angle offered some of the most stunning views of the city I had ever witnessed. The house had four levels, and we began on the first. He took me back to the entrance, veering to the side, where a grand formal living room awaited. The walls were painted in a refined cream and champagne shade, similar to the foyer, and it was filled with elegantly classic furniture. A fireplace graced one wall, adorned with a mantle featuring pictures of people I didn’t really recognize. I knew better than to inquire about them. There was also a large center table positioned between the chairs, embellished with a striking centerpiece. To the side, I spotted a wall lined with bookshelves brimming with books, and on the opposite side of the room stood an impressive grand piano. I approached it, almost entranced by its elegance. I brushed my fingers along the keys and looked at Dominic, smiling warmly. “Do you play?” I inquired. “Not really, but it’s been in my family for many years, so I had to keep it,” he shrugged. “May I?” I asked, gesturing toward the piano. “Sure.” I sat down on the bench while he came to sit beside me. “What will you play?” he asked. I glanced down at the keys, running my hands over them gently once more. “One of my favorites, you’ll see.” I began playing "Titanium" by David Guetta, singing along with the lyrics. As I struck the final note and sang the last word, I caught Dominic’s gaze and found him already looking at me. “What?” I mumbled, feeling a blush creep onto my cheeks. “You’re amazing,” he breathed. I looked away, my cheeks growing even warmer. “Can you play another song for me?” he requested. “Sure, but under one condition,” I replied. “What’s that?” “You have to sing it with me,” I said, grinning mischievously. “No, I don’t sing.” “Oh, come on, pretty please?” I pleaded. “No, Liv,” I leaned closer to him, whispering in his ear. “Please?” I placed my hand on his thigh, hearing him growl softly. “You’re treading into dangerous territory, Olivia.” “Please sing with me, Dominic” “Alright, fine,” he relented, rolling his eyes. “Thank you! Now, what’s the next song?” I asked eagerly. “Here and Now, by Luther Vandross,” he replied with a warm smile. I started playing the melody, and he watched me intently, his gaze fixed on my lips. As I finished the last note, our eyes locked, and we both began leaning in. But before our lips could meet, I pulled back, glancing away from his captivating eyes. “You’re a really good singer. I don’t understand why you didn’t want to sing,” I remarked as I rose and created some distance between myself and Dominic. “I just don’t like it,” he shrugged, getting up as well. I fell silent, folding my arms across my chest and avoiding eye contact with him. “Do you want to continue the tour?” he asked, and I nodded. We exited the formal living room and walked further down the hall, where he halted at a set of large double doors. “This is my office,” he announced, but he made no move to open them. I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. “Can I see it?” I asked, crossing my arms. “No. I don’t want you in here unless I specifically tell you to come in,” he stated firmly, almost as a warning. I nodded, knowing full well that I would step inside whenever I pleased. We walked back into the main hall, continuing onward into an expansive kitchen. It maintained the classic, slightly vintage aesthetic of the house, and I adored it. A massive island dominated the space, seemingly large enough to seat an entire football team, complete with a generous sink and, surprisingly, a bowl brimming with fresh fruit. All the appliances were modern and stainless steel. There was also a door leading out to the backyard, and I could hardly wait to see it, already anticipating the breathtaking view. Adjacent to the kitchen was an informal living room with a recliner sectional that looked incredibly cozy, along with a gigantic 85” flat-screen television. I noticed that there were numerous floor-to-ceiling windows, but heavy drapes covered them, making it impossible to see outside. He then led me outside, and I couldn’t help but gasp in amazement at the sight that greeted us. The backyard was enormous and stunning. A vast infinity pool and hot tub overlooked the incredible view that I had come to adore. A few lounge chairs rested on the steps of the pool. There was also a substantial patio area furnished with ample chairs and tables, perfect for hosting gatherings. Additionally, there was an outdoor kitchen and a bar, complete with a pool house. I shook my head in disbelief. “This place is unbelievable,” I murmured. “It has to be with at least 20-30 people living here,” he chuckled. I looked up at him, and I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped. “Close your mouth before I put something in it,” Dom teased. “You’re insufferable,” I scoffed, my face reddening at the thought of what he could put in my mouth. “And why are there so many people living here?” “Well, there are guards all around, plus my boys and the other staff,” he informed me. “Holy crap,” I exclaimed softly. Dom grasped my chin, directing my gaze back to his piercing eyes. “Mind your language, Liv. My kids are nearby. I don’t want them using such words,” he cautioned. I nodded, looking up just in time to see two little figures dashing towards him excitedly.
