Breakfast

POV: Olivia I woke up to the sound of my phone alarm waking me up for work. I’d forgotten to turn it off and I groaned as I reached for it to turn it off immediately. With my eyes half open, I walked like a zombie into the bathroom to pee. I’d only taken two steps when my brain registers my surroundings and memories of yesterday came flooding my brain, causing me to grab my head as it hurts to think about so many things all at once. I’m married now... I’m married to a mean jerk that thinks I’m a f*****g gold-digger. I sat on the toilet seat, thinking of how my life has changed just because I decided to be a good sister and show up for Sophias wedding. I walked back to my bed, but sleep evaded me as I thought of my fiance being with my sister and spending the money she got as dowry. Damn Sophia! And Damn Lucas! They both deserve each other. I’m going down for breakfast and to check on the twins. If their father won’t speak with me, at least his kids will. They seem nice and welcoming when I said hello in the car. I’m hoping for a chance to get to know them and adapt to my new life. I walked out of the room, hoping in my heart that I don’t miss my way... Again. As I walked down the hallway, it felt different. It felt like I was walking through a maze. Although the house was very beautiful, There was a coldness to it. There wasn’t any type of warmth to it, almost like it was A museum, more than a house. I managed to locate the stairs, but just as I got halfway down the stairs, I heard voices of guys and I presumed they were at the dining. “Nope! Not today...” I muttered to myself as I turned around to head back the way I just came. The moment I turned, I heard his voice from the dining, “Get down here!” he ordered sternly, stopping me in my tracks. I looked around and noticed there was no one else on the stairs, so obviously, he is talking to me. I got down under everyones watchful gaze and approached the only free seat next to him. He didn’t look up until I was close. He looks right at me and frowns when he catches his boys staring lustfully at me. “Get the f**k out! All of you!” he yells at them furiously, his anger evident in his tone. He glares furiously at me, eying my cleavage as his shirt hangs right above my ass, leaving nothing for the imagination. “Are you trying to seduce my boys?!” he asks furiously, glaring daggers at me. I ignored him, refusing to banter words with him this beautiful morning. I called out to the maid standing next to him, but she ignored me completely, pretending not to hear me. I wanted to yell at her when he said, “We don’t yell like lunatics in this house!” he reprimands me. “This is Henry. He’s the head butler here and he will teach you how things are done around here. Anything you need, just ask him, and He’d give it to you. I have business to take Care of. ” he said gruffly, wiping his mouth and hands with a towel , and stalking off. I scoffed as he got out of my sight. It’s nice to see that he could actually walk without a wheelchair. I turned to the head butler, “Nice to meet you, Mr. Henry.” I said, Smiling at him. I held my hand out for him to shake, and He shook his head, returning a small smile Of his Own. "Please Miss, Just call me Henry." He said, shaking my hand. "Then I insist on you calling me Olivia!" "I don't think that is appropriate, Miss." He said politely. "Please?" l asked, giving him my best puppy dog eyes. He chuckled, before agreeing. "If you insist Liv." I shot him a beaming smile, and he shook his head in amusement. "I'Il be showing you to your room. If you want, I can give you a tour of the place later?" He offered. "That would be nice. Thank you" I said, sincerely. He turned, walking up one side of the grand staircase, and walked down long hallway, before making a right. I gasped, as there were large windows in the hall, overlooking the beautiful coast of Italy. I paused fora moment, mesmerised by the incredible view, only hoping that I would be able to get even a glimpse of this view from my room. I turned and followed Henry who had stopped for me to catch up. He is going a different way, and I tried to tell him that, but he just chuckled softly and kept on going. "Your room is on the east wing of the house, right across from Master Dominic'" My face scrunched when he called Dominic Master, but he ignored it. He stopped in front of a pair of double doors, opening it, and stepping aside, allowing me to go in first. He placed the bags by the door, before stepping out. "There's an intercom on the wal, please use it if you need any assistance from me." He said, before turning leaving. I spun around, my phone dropping from my hand, as I looked at the beautiful room. It was way bigger than my previous room in his house and even the one back in my father’s house. The size intimidated me a bit. And I couldn’t help wondering why he suddenly changed his mind after the way he treated me last night. What changed? Why is he suddenly being nice to me?
