Chapter 64

Cussusex and the guests

Cussusex, his father, the earl of Michigan, Elvira's guests; Thalia and Alva and the royal family of Alzhamera was having a buffet at the large royal dining hall

The morning was quiet and peaceful as there wasn't much noise around the royal halls

Thalia and Alva were happy that they could now spend time with cussusex in so much hours without having the presence of Elvira, who always seem to hold his attention 

"So she didn't tell you guys where she was going to?" Elvira's mom directed her question to Thalia and Alva

They were on the dinning hall and she couldn't see her daughter for some hours ago and now she still couldn't find Elvira anywhere around the royal halls at all

"No madam, we just couldn't find her anymore" Alva replied gently

"What kind of person invites a guest and then just disappear leaving the guests invited to the care of no one" Cussusex father, the earl of Michigan was now furious at Elvira 

"I think she may have her reasons for behaving in this manner,  and must be serious ones, let's just give her the time she requires. And within a while she would be back" Elvira's father defended her

"She didn't just leave us without care, she promised that lord Cussusex would take good care of us and provide us with whatever we need during our stay here" Thalia added to their now tense conversation as to just get it out there for all to know and keep with the new development

"Me?.." Cussusex asked in surprise on what Thalia had just said, "why would she say so, she's also supposed to keep me company as also a visitor to her home

Alva laughed in excitement, " I suppose she would love us to keep ourselves company, which is like killing two birds with one stone I guess" she smiled

"We should all eat, Elvira's bad behaviour can wait for the mean time" said Elvira mother as she started dishing the food

Silently they all ate their food in the morning, while having thoughts on where Elvira may have gone, and for how long she was to stay whereever she went to before coming back to the Alzhamera royal

Thalia was not concerned about Elvira's disappearance, if less she was even glad about it, so was Alva

They both held the thought that Elvira purposely left the royal mansion in order to give them a chance to hang out with Cussusex as they had fore planned

The meal went mostly in silence as Elvira was not on ground to steer things up as she normally do when around, just like her name; Elvira, the rebellious maiden, she was always creating a scenario for pushing against the norm

The meal was over and everyone was now leaving one by one as Cussusex father, the earl and Elvira father the councillor of Michigan had now left the dining table as they had some official discussion to be done

While Thalia and Alva were in a silent competition of who would be the one successful with Cussusex

Although they were done eating bit they did not leave the dining hall as Cussusex was still there eating

Thalia and Alva was satisfied just watching him do what he was doing, which is eating; watch as he gulped down each block of food and take in each bite, wishing they could kiss those beautiful mouth of his

Cussusex having these two set of girls watch him so closely started becoming a lot nerve wrecking as he was feeling a bit uncomfortable in their presence

Their eyes focused on every move he makes, no one in the right state of mind wouldn't feel uncomfortable in such a position, so the stares he was getting was more than he could take

Tho he didn't want to tell them to stop with the behaviour as it may seem rude of him to do that. So he just endured it and hope he would finish his food sooner than later, so he can leave their presence

"So how is Michigan like, never been there but have heard a whole lot About the place," Thalia directed her question towards Cussusex as h was eating, not mind that at all

Cussusex was in the moment of grinding down a big meat in his plate when she asked

Raising up a finger on his right hand so to signify to Thalia who had just asked his this question, not minding that he was eating

He didn't want to choke on the meat so he just suspended answering till he was done

"You said you have heard a lot about the place right?" Cussusex asked back

"Yeah, just from here and there with time" she said

"Then that's how Michigan is like, those things you have heard about the place is how Michigan is like, so there is no need to say anymore as you see am currently busy at the moment" Cussusex said as he went back to his food, continue eating

This was a rebuke in some form and Thalia noticed it, so she held her peace as she and Alva started talking with eachother 

Cussusex was now done with his meal as he arranged his plates and stood up to leave the dinning hall

"Your already going?" Alva asked as Cussusex stood up to leave the dinning hall

"Yeah I am, done with the food so I would be taking my leave right now" he replies

"And you didn't even care tell us that you were leaving so we could accompany you out" Alva said again, feeling down at his behaviour

"Oh sorry, didn't know it was me that you guys were waiting for, thought you were just hanging out in the dinning hall after your meal, my apologies" Cussusex said as a gentleman bowing his head a bit as a form of courtesy

"Would be taking my leave now, if you guys don't mind" he told them as a form of asking for permission to make his way back to his chambers

"Won't you invite us to join you" Thalia said smiling, expecting his approval

"Am sorry but I need to be alone for now"  Cussusex said as he left them in the dinning hall

Thalia and Alva were furious, he has just snubbed them but in modest way, but had still snubbed them, shutting them out

This made their mood gloomy

Thalia gets suspicious..

Thalia was calling for Alva as she had not returned since she left the room during the late afternoon

She had gone round the royal halls and building calling out her name loudly, but Alva had not yet responded, she was no where to be found

Then now in the gardens shouting her name loudly, she heard a response from between the tall hedges as Alva finally showed up her face

"Good lord, where have you been" Thalia embraced her as soon as she saw her friend

"I have been looking all over the halls for you, thought you have been taken away or something..." Thalia continued without ceasing

"Don't do that next time, do you want me to be alone in this Elvira boring home, what would I do if you are not around or can't get a glimpse of Cussusex from time to time" she said, more like her thoughts finding it's way out than a speech directed at Alva

Then she remembered "Cussusex!..." Thalia said loudly

Alva shocked by the sudden mention of his name turned back in a split second " What?... Where is he" she asked her friend

Alva had looked back thinking that Cussusex had followed her from behind, which made Thalia shout his name in suprise, bit looking back she had not seen him anywhere nearby, so had thought that it was something else then

"Were you with Cussusex?!!!" Thalia asked with rage in her eyes

What was just a happy moment of seeing a friend that she had been searching for was not replaced with a feeling of being betrayed

"You must have sneaked behind my back to go meet him in some place..., He must be here somewhere I know"

"What are you talking about" Alva asked her, pretending that she had no idea what Thalia was talking about

"Don't make a fool of me Alva, where is Cussusex, don't tell me you have bewitched him and taken him all to yourself"

"You betrayal of a friend, where is he!!!...."

"Thalia I really don't know what you are talking about, you are acting so strange right now, what is the problem, please talk to me, I know you have been alone all these while but what are you trying to say now" Alva maintained her line 

"You were with him Alva, I can feel it, you were with him"

" I wasn't" Alva was ready to defend herself till the end

"Then what else would explain that you left the room for so long without coming back, you went in search of Cussusex, found him and was with him all these while" Thalia was not going to easily give up with her accusation, she felt betrayed without even knowing if her thoughts were true

"Thalia, get hold of yourself" Alva wasn't going to reveal what she had done just yet, Thalia would go into a breakdown, 'It would be better she found out bit by bit... Cussusex is now mine and I am his' Alva thought in her mind

"Oh oh , am so sorry, I just thought that as you were gone for such a long time , that you must have been seeing Cussusex in secret or something like that" Thalia said in order to calm herself before she goes into a nervous breakdown for something that isn't true

"No it was nothing like that, I was just taking fresh air in the gardens" Alva have reduced her tone to so low that she would not unintentional steer up Thalia anger or suspicion again

"Ok... Ok.... I understand" Thalia now said in relief, "I just felt it would have been unfair to go chase after Cussusex behind my back, I know we both want him, and only one person can get him..."

Alva released a smile hearing this, bit not visible enough for Thalia to see as she was so focused on her talking 

"... But we have to be fair to eachother, so no one plays dirty in order to have him to herself"

'i wasn't playing dirty, I didn't even know he was there when I went there' Alva thought in her mind with a little bit of guilty conscience as all what Thalia was fearing and also going into breakdown mood was what had happened

Then the thought of Cussusex body in her  sent an electrifying current through her body, she loved it, 'cant wait to have another encounter with him again' she smiled again

" Why are you smiling?!" Thalia caught a glimpse of her smile this time around as she was no longer talking, see that her friend Alva was no longer listening but instead thinking of something else

"Am not smiling because of anything, am just happy that you have gotten that thought of me having anything to do with Cussusex off your mind" Alva said to Thalia and embraced her to take her mind off it

With this they both went back into the royal residence building to their rooms

Cussusex was still sitting where he was, not minding the two ladies who were in a hot discussion because of him as he did not really cared

He thought was just on how he would have Alva again so that he could finish what he started

Cutting things halfway had been to his disadvantage as he was now the one craving to have her again on his arms

"We are not yet finished Alva..."  Cussusex said silently where he was sitted with the two friends now gone into the building

"...We are just getting started" he smiled widely as the day got covered in darkness, 'time to go in'

On their way inside the building, Alva couldn't hold it any longer

"Am so hungry, I really need to eat something at this moment" 

"Yeah, me too, Elvira's mom sent someone to our room to call us to come eat dinner, that was when I remembered that you haven't been around since"

"Was sleeping when the person came to knock, waking me up from my sleep, thought it was you who was knocking or that you were already in the room"

'oh shit...' Alva gulped

"Then I noticed that you were not inside since you left off, so you have been in the gardens all these while, doing what exactly?" Thalia asked

'Seems she still haven't gotten the thought of me and Cussusex together off her mind' Alva thought in her mind but did not reply to Thalia question

'It's better that is left on its own for now, true or not true, lie or not lie'

They both went indoors

"Let's get ready in our dinner gowns, we would probably see Cussusex there in the dinning hall too, he may have not yet eaten" 

'He surely haven't yet, unless you count me as he's food' Alva smiled, her mind was excited

"Let's hope he haven't, after what he did to us this morning, I don't know what to expect with him anymore" Alva said trying to play along

"Only one way to know for sure" Thalia smiled as she waved her legs seductively "He's mine.."

"Oh no he's not" Alva countered, knowing she had already won the battle.

Cussusex prepare to leave Alzhamera...

Alva and Thalia had gotten dressed in their best gowns and were now ready to go to the dinning hall to eat their dinner

"He would probably be there" Thalia said on their way to the dinning hall, "but am not absolutely sure if he is going to come though"

'Hw surely will' Alva thought as she followed her friend with confidence to the dinning hall

On reaching there, all were already sorted in absence of Cussusex father and any other of the royal official who was supposed to be there

Taking a quick scan across the whole table in search of Cussusex, they found him sitting down at the far left hand side of the table

"Welcomey children..." Elvira Mom immediately welcomed them as soon as they entered the hall

"Am so sorry for the absence of my daughter who have invited you guys and was supposed to be the person in charge of taking care or each and every one of your need during your stay here"

"But I don't know where that daughter of mine have gone to now" Elvira mother said with a bit of regret in hee tone of voice

Thalia and Alva couldn't mind the absence of Elvira due to the presence of Cussusex in the dining hall right now

"She probably went into the mine again" Elvira father said with conviction, "that girl would never learn her lesson, after breaking the bones of my most suitable warrior, now she causes me so much trouble in the dynasty by continuously mixing up with these men below the earth, repulsive!!" 

Lord Alzath, father of Elvira was now in a hot mood as he had heard from the mine guards about the news of her entering into the mine disguised as a mine guard and bribing some of the officials on duty to be able to gain entrance

Entering into the mine was not something most people from above the earth would want to do, and the mine guards who does it are heavily paid in order to embark on such a risky journey

So a person even offering money in order to gain entrance into the mine was not a common occurs and was a rare occurrence to the officer on duty as most people would not like to go into the mine, so seeing someone willing to pay to go into the mine was always a bonus that they just couldn't refuse

"So when is she going to come back from her expedition into the Savagers home of a mine" Cussusex asked lord Alzath, who had a mood of displeasure in his face

"That I have no idea, she normally spend a bit of time there anytime she ventures into that hell hole" the lord of Alzhamera replied, " tho I have given instructions to some set of the mine guards to now have the explicit mission of finding her and bringing her back to the surface, where she belongs"

"Ok that is a good prefer of business" Cussusex said, "but sadly I wouldn't be able to see her again for the mean time as I and my father would be leaving for Galviberth tomorrow"

This sent chills through Thalia and Alva as they had no idea that he would be leaving so soon

"You are already leaving?" Alva asked in disappointment, as he did not even care to tell her this during their moment in the gardens

Her question was more than a normal question to her, it had the meaning not 'what was going to happen next'

Thalia was also as shocked at this sudden news as Alva was, but not so disappointed as she have had no moment of intimacy with Cussusex

From the other side of the table Cussusex looked directly at Alva with a stare of dominance that Alva had to give him a questioning face in search for answers

"Yes I and my father lord Cuscox would taking our leave on the morning of the morrow, I think we had spent enough time here in Alzhamera and seeing that Elvira is absence, there's no much reason to stay here anymore" Cussusex said

This broke Alva heart hearing his say that, 'what does he mean by since Elvira is absent that there is no much reason for him to stay back anymore' Alva head was running through his words as hurtful as they were

She bowed down her head a little so he doesn't see the drops of tears that were about to roll through

He had even been looking straight at her when he was say this, 'why.... Why..why' was the only thing her mind could think of as the evening meal went with them all eating in silence and little talks from time to time

Alva was unhappy with Cussusex as she avoided looking at him throughout the rest of the meal

While Thalia was so occupied with trying to gain the attention of Cussusex that she had ignored her food in front of her for most of the time

'Nees to try to get his by my charms before he leaves tomorrow for Galviberth' was all that was going through Thalia mind

'may not be able to ever have this opportunity to be so close to Cussusex, the heir of the lands of Michigan ever again', so all her tactics of bewitching and wooing a man into fall for a woman needs to be implemented as soon as possible before all hope is gone

The evening dining was coming to an end as the night got dimmer and the meal on their plates got narrower, except that of Thalia tho, as she was so occupied on getting Cussusex attention that her food was being ignored

"I can see you and lord Cuscox would be attending the grand event of the great death coliseum of Galviberth" lord Alzath said as he smiled broadly

Cussusex hearing this also sent the same feeling across his face, "the Savagers who are to represent the land of Michigan in the bet are already in b*****e and on the way to Galviberth as you already know" Cussusex replied with a broad smile on his face

"We wouldn't be missing such a feast to the eye and mind for anything else in the world" Cussusex laughed, he was already done with his food and was going to leave soon, same with lord Alzath

Thalia was so desperate and exhausted from all she have been trying to achieve which have been to no avail

"Would try to be there too" lord Alzath said as they both stood up to leave the dinning hall

Passing to leave, Cussusex ran his hand across Alva shoulder as he went by, and her body magnified the effect a million times...
