26. EVE Eve straightened her suit, took off her glasses, blew on them, and then wiped them with a handkerchief. Carefully placing them back on her nose, she glanced over to Rand. He never really turned into a ball of nerves, not in any visible way, although he had been more disheveled-looking than usual since Zakira’s death. She hardly ever felt bad for him, since he was normally such a puffed-up ass, but this was one of those rare occasions. She took him by the neck and straightened his tie.
