The Beginning
The run had not worked he was still frustrated and annoyed, giving up he shifted back to human form and put on his pants and in that moment the scent hit him like a ton of bricks. He turned around with a snarl, he snarled even louder seeing a tiny girl standing there staring. She didn't move or react, maybe she was in shock...
"Aren't you afraid?" He c****d his head to the side curiously.
"Of what?"
"Me" he growled
" Well are you going to eat me?" Her voice steady and stubborn.
His eyes went wide, why would she think something like that? He had scared her and she wouldn't admit it.
"No" he said through clenched teeth.
"Then no. Look i have to get home i have work in the morning "
And just like that she was walking away, he stood there fuming for a moment. He had brought grown men to their knees in his wolf form and she just shrugged it off like it was nothing, maybe she's crazy he thought.
She might tell someone what she saw but he didn't worry about that he knew nobody would belive that she actually saw a big bad wolf in the forest.
He felt irritated now and didn't know whether to go to the hotel or just run through the night.
He decided on the latter, it was past six in the morning when he got to the hotel and he only had time for a quick shower and head to work.
He had a few companies to go through today.
"Graca bring me coffee" he passed his old assistant, this office was much too small it made him uncomfortable. What was the point of buying a building if he was stuck using one floor where people were working on top of each other like rats? He ran his hand through his hair as he sunk into his chair, his huge dark desk was dusty and empty.
"I keep wiping it but the dust from the construction guys.." Graca tried to explain as she found him staring at the table.
"Why are people still coming to work?" He took the cup of coffee then stared at it a while and put it on the table.
"Sir everyone is trying to put together the list of shortlisted companies you need to look at"
"That's still not done?"
"Ahhhh no"
"Make sure everything is done by today, i want this to be the last day i see any of you here till the renovations are finished"
"You do know that these are your employees not mine right?" Graca said and was met with a cold look "I'll get right to it sir"
He sat there a while and just wanted to be in the forest but he had to stop being whiney and get the job done.
When he came out of the office Luke was parked outside. He opened the door for him.
"Good morning sir" he was used to getting no reply but he said it anyway.
The traffic was a nightmare and when he arrived at the destination.
The buildings were not well kept at all, maybe he would just buy this place, fix it up and sell it.
A tall skinny lady was waiting to meet him when he got off the car.
"This way sir" she hurried with strange looking heels, she didn't seem to have much experience with heels and they were quite short.
She led him to a box like structure that appeared to be the office.
"Mr Cabello" a short stubby man shook his hand.
The space was tiny only a carbord, a printer and his desk with large screen tv on his left, the walls painted lime green.
He was liking this place less and less.
"Mr Cabello my company is doing a lot of good work for this community if we close down it will kill the people who depend on us"
"I looked at the numbers and i am not impressed, i don't know why you're not in jail..."
"Mr Cabello..."
"I'm not finished, the people who work for you will be better off, i thought of buying this" he waved his hand around "but I'm not feeling very generous anymore"
The door opened and the same the scent hit him a screech filled the room and he didn't even see himself move but he found himself holding her.
"Watch where you step" he snapped steadying her.
He could see the anger in her eyes but she said nothing. He bumped her on his way out.
Who was she and what was she doing here?
He stood outside for a moment trying to gather his thoughts.
