Kenzi: I wake up in an awkward position on the couch, my head resting at weird angle on Alex's chest, making my neck stiff. I try to untangle myself from Alex's arms without waking him. He stirs and I freeze, waiting to see if he was going to wake up. Luckily he doesn't and I manage to squeeze my way off the couch. I needed a minute of alone time to process. My life has been a whirlwind these last few months. I feel like I can't catch a break. Its one thing after another. I walk over to the window, looking out. It’s still dark, however I can make out the rain falling from the heavens. It splashes onto the window and then trails its way down. The wind makes the branches of the nearby trees dance chaotically.
