Morning came way too quickly. I had a lot to do today. Remembering the events from last night, I pull Kenzi closer to my chest and kiss her forehead. I need to let her know about Steve so she can watch her back.
"Good morning beautiful" I whisper to her as she slowly wakes up.
"Morning" she replies groggily
"I have to head over to the packhouse for a meeting about yesterdays' events. Before I leave I really need to talk to you about something"
Kenzi stretched out and sat up in bed, listening attentively to what I had to say.
"Kenz, the attack last night, it was a distraction. Steve got away. You don't have to worry though, I will have a warrior guard the apartment and make sure you are safe. Please don't go anywhere without him. We will find Steve and put him behind bars again
