As I predicted, 2 days after Steve was put in the dungeons, two men came to town asking questions about his whereabouts. They came to the clinic, wanting to know if he had stopped by here and of course wanted to talk to me. What a surprise, I think sarcastically. These men must have been some hired muscle, as they were jacked.
"What can I do for you gentlemen? In need of a checkup with the doctor?" I say with some sass. They were not going to intimidate me. I was getting used to seeing warriors, so the tough guy act they were doing was not going to work on me. Alex and his men are bigger and tougher and by now I'm sure someone warned them about these two intruders' presence. It was just a matter of time before they showed up.
