The sight was… gosh…
Intestines dangled in the air then tossed to the side. Digging into the body, the heart was pulled out, still dripping with blood. It trailed down his arm to his bent elbows before dripping to the ground and slowly brought to his mouth.
He tore through the tissues, groaning in satisfaction. We stood there watching as the heart of a wolf was chewed like meat and swallowed. He moved to the other body. A teen, lifeless.
He ripped the skin open in one go and I tore my eyes away, unable to see more. He was one of them now. Worse, even. “That’s his wife and son.”
A shiver ran through my body at that revelation. I looked up at Riven who still held me close. “What are we going to do now?” I whispered.
