ANNELISE POV
It was finally weekend and a rainy one. The distant laughter I heard woke me up, my head fuzzy and my eyes still heavy from sleeping. My eyes turned to the wall clock as I hissed at the time, it was 11am, rain makes me tired and sleepy.
I pulled the duvet to cover my body as I shut my eyes to sleep back. The laughter came again, the sleepiness cleared off my eyes as realization hit me… Cassius wasn’t in bed with me, and we had a guest who I totally didn’t trust in the house. I kicked off the duvet and slipped out of the bed, I shoved my feet into my fur slippers and hurried out of the bedroom.
