Lost & Found
Ace POV I was only a child when I wandered into the urban jungle, the street. Starving and scared. I had no idea where my family was, or if they were even alive. I hoped someone would help me, and finally I was heard not to help but to snatched my innocent mind by a group of ruthless predators. They saw potential in me, a raw talent that they could mold into a weapon. They fed me, clothed me, and trained me to kill. They taught me how to stalk targets, how to strike without mercy, how to escape without a trace. They made me into a hunter, a killer, an assassin. I had no life of my own. I was a killing machine, devoid of feelings. I wondered if I mattered at all, or if I was just a shadow. Despite of they never gave me love, or freedom, or happiness. My organization is into killing and plotting to overthrow the government and set a puppet in the world of politics to lure people to their scheme agenda. Yet I was still willing to serve the organization that raised me, but they wouldn't let me go. They only used me for their own gain. I dreamed of escaping, of finding a better life, of being a normal girl. But I knew it was too late. I was trapped in a cycle of violence and death... I've had no way out. Why was it so hard to fit in the world? Why couldn't I have a choice? One time I have a mission. My mentor I trusted betrayed me. She ruined the mission putting me in a deadly situation . She stab me in the back and hand me over to the cops. I was captured and interrogated. And that day I found out that everything I know was false. My life is a lie. Now I had the chance to make a decision weather to find a way to escape and seek revenge or accept my faith and cooperate with the authorities. And... Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe I can finally make my own choice and leave the assassin's life behind. But first, I have to get out of this jail. I had been waiting for the right moment to make my move. I had studied the guard's routine, memorized the layout of the prison, and hidden a makeshift knife under my mattress. I knew I had only one chance to get out of this hellhole. The moment came when the guard opened my cell door to bring me my dinner. I pretended to be asleep, then lunged at him with my knife. He barely had time to react before I stabbed him in the throat. I grabbed his keys and gun, and ran out of the cell. I heard the alarm go off, and saw more guards rushing towards me. I shot the first one in the head, then ducked behind a corner. I saw another one coming from the other side, and threw my knife at him. He fell to the ground with a thud. I sprinted towards the exit, dodging bullets and batons. I reached the door, and saw a guard standing in front of it. He aimed his gun at me, but I was faster. I kicked him in the groin, then smashed his face with the butt of my gun. I opened the door, and saw freedom waiting for me. I ran towards it, hoping no one would catch me. I had escaped from prison, but I knew I was still not safe. I had to find a new identity, a new life, a new start.... But first , i had to find my mentor , and make her pay from what she did to me. F a s t f o r w a r d..... I tracked down my mentor and saw her tailing a teenage girl in a spa. I laughed, thinking that she had gone crazy. She was wasting her time following the girl, when she could have just shot her in the head and be done with it. She was making things complicated, when they could have been simple. I smiled, seeing her tense and nervous. She didn't know I was watching her, waiting for the right moment to strike. She is at her 40's getting weaker and old. She had wasted her life on killing and violence, and she had no one to love or care for her. She was doomed to die alone, and so was I. We were not meant to be happy, we were meant to be lonely. I didn't want this to happen, but she had forced me to do it. She had raised me to be an assassin, and now I had to kill her.
