The Orphan

Enola's eyes fluttered open, her gaze adjusting to the dim light of the orphanage. She lay in her narrow bed, her mind racing with the same recurring dream. The same faces, the same screams, the same feeling of helplessness. Her parents' death was a mystery, a tragedy that had left her alone in the world. The orphanage had become her home, but the memories of that day had never left her. On her 16th birthday, Enola received a cryptic letter, hinting at the truth behind her parents' demise. The message was unsigned, but the words burned within her: "Seek the whispering shadows, and you shall uncover the secrets of your past." Determined to unravel the mystery, Enola fled the orphanage, embarking on a perilous journey to confront the darkness that had haunted her for so long. She packed a small bag and set out into the unknown, her heart punding with every step she takes. With the fear in her mind that if someone catches her, what mishap would happen to her.
