the story is going to be based on how women rights are being violated which affects one life and how we women can show this men we are not cursed . This story is going to based on a girl named Takunda ,who was violated since in their culture women were nothing but cases .This story took place in the sunshine city, Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. We live in a biased world . Man are considered the heirs of the property while woman are considered curses . Is being a girl child a problem ? Maybe our curse comes from Eve as in some denomics they say Eve was a b***h some say she is a saint . The world contains many secrets closed which we the young generation don't know . Men say we women are inert and don't want to work but that's a terrible lie . Women of this generation expect money from men not because they don't want to work but they think money means love . Money is the root to all evil but we all want money . I stand up for those women not respecting their rights. A woman should be self reliant . A woman must be strong enough to build a house were a couple can stay l say no to women violation . CEDAW DO your job . Arrest those criminals. Girls are now doing messy jobs like selling their body to feed their single mothers. We are not in the 1990 we are in the early 2000 . Girls being forced to early marriages and later school dropouts and leading to unwanted pregnancies.

chapter 1 : the curse begins Am Takunda Mapindu, the only girl child in our family. I know you think l was the luckiest kid but no l wasn't lucky . l sat under the scotching hot sun peeling the potatoes so l could prepare a tantalizing meal for my father . My inert brothers ,Tapiwa and Tinashe played video games in the living room. Mother came back from work earlier than the other days . I ran to greet her and she looked exhausted " Good afternoon mother." l said politely She hugged me and said " Good day my daughter. Did you eat anything." she asked l nodded my head and took her bag inside. I felt feeble and felt a strong headache. I had to stay strong for my mother. Late that day father cane home inebriate. He always acted temerarious when drunk . I greeted him and he acted as if he didn't hear my greeting. Hours later l heard cries and a scream . It was my mother and l knew father was beating her again. I looked at my two brothers but it seemed as if they didn't hear anything. I ran upstairs and saw mother laying lifeless on the ground and next to her was a sharp knife. l couldn't stop crying and father picked up the knife and threw it away. I reached out for my smartphone to call the cops but he snatched it and smashed it . I cried a cry without sound. Was my mother really dead ? My useless good for nothing brothers knew nothing. The worst began when he bribed the police and making me feel helpless. Her funeral took place the day felt heavy for me . She had left a black mark in my mind . The place was boisterous because of people mourning and singing. I couldn't stay like that forever. I saw my mother die . 3 days later The days passed and life started showing its true colors. Father stormed in my room holding my small tattered bag . He looked at me and said " Pack your things . This house belongs to my sons not some useless girl child." The ball l was bouncing rolled under the table . My hands were shaking and chest felt like someone had locked all the air in the room . I couldn't breathe " Girls don't inherit in our culture." he said impolitely. He left my room . I broke into tears . Who would wipe them up . I felt a darkness dossing around me . I had lost all sense of hope , trapped in a nightmare from which l couldn't wake up from . love you guys WILL TAKUNDA OVERCOME THIS
