Ryan, I taught you better than that……ma Gina said frowning.
I am retiring to my room “ Ryan said calmly leaving us and heading upstairs.
Am so sorry my love, he didn't mean what he just said. Ma Gina said holding my hands.
I couldn't help the slip of tears. Ma Gina noticed and pulled me into a tight hug.
Now dear, it's okay………… don't take what he said to heart. He's just angry, he's a really sweet boy. she said repeatedly trying to soothe me.
I wiped off my tears and assured her I was okay, I just needed a bed to rest my head. I let her know I would like to retire to my room and that I was very tired.
She understood and gently led me to a room. Ryan must have already told her we were sleeping in separate rooms. Because she took me to a room down the upstairs corridor. She showed me Ryan's room, his room was just 2 doors away from mine. She said just in case I might need anything from him
She hugged me again and promised to show me around and to all the workers the next day. She left for her quarters, during our little chat up to my room she told me only Ryan and I live in this main building and that there was a separate house at the back built for all workers.
I found out that Ma Gina was his caretaker ever since he was born. I tried asking about his mom again but she promised to tell me about her tomorrow and with that, we bid goodbye.
I took in the beauty of the room. It was painted a soft gray with golden exquisite drapes covering the window. A queen-sized bed stood proud in the middle. The room was adorned with some exquisite paintings. Similar to the whole house. Every inch of this house was screaming luxury.
I quietly walked to the dresser table and took off my simple gown. I had changed clothes to something really simple before following Ryan. The only reminder that today was my wedding was the makeup still on my face. That's why Ma Gina couldn't recognize me as his bride.
I rummaged through my luggage in search of nightwear, went to shower, put it on, and climbed into bed. What a long day.
I drifted off to sleep.
Pangs of hunger woke me up hours later, I had forgotten I had barely eaten at my wedding.
I checked my phone for time, just 15 minutes past 12. It was already mid-night
I didn't know what to eat but I certainly knew I needed to eat something before I passed out.
Determined to go and rummage the fridge at least I was bound to find something to keep me alive till the next day.
I wore my flip-flops, grabbed my night robe, wore it over my nighties, and stepped out.
When I stepped out, nothing could have prepared me for what I heard.
Moans of a lady getting good s*x.
I froze.
