It Feels Like A Dream

POV: Zoey Sebastian came back a few hours later, I was looking out the window waiting for him. I knew when his car pulled up into the driveway, and I knew even brought me home to meet his sister, who loved me the moment we met. Her name is Natalie and she is the female version of Sebastian, so cute and cheerful. I have to admit, it’s nice to see a cheerful face amongst his guards. He can be so annoying sometimes, I guess it’s nice to see someone I can talk to, someone I can easily relate with. “Oh my God! Finally, my brother has a girlfriend, and I have a sister!” she squealed excitedly. “Not girlfriend dummy, she is my fiancée.” He corrected sternly, earning mischievous look from his sister as she eyes him suspiciously, pulling me to the corner for a little girly chitchat. “You have to tell me everything, Zee, tell me how you met my brother and how long you two have dated. Do you like him, are you going to marry my brother? Please marry him, do not mind his grumpy attitude. We are going to be best friends I promise. Seb can be annoying sometimes, but trust me, he is a good man and you won’t regret being with him.” she asked me curiously, her eyes dangling with excitement. “Leave her alone, Bat! She’s mine! Go get yourself a man and leave my fiancee alone!” he told her jealously as we chatted happily when he introduced me as his fiancée. Everyone was surprised, I could tell that this is the last thing they expect from him. I guess I’m not the only one he’s grumpy to. “You cannot take this away from me, Sebastian. I have been waiting for this day all my life. You have no idea how happy I am.” She responded excitedly as she pulled me up the stairs, taking me with her like a lottery slip. “Where the hell are you taking her?” he asked after us, chuckling at his sister’s childish behaviour. “I’m taking her to a quiet place so we can gossip about you.” She responded, chuckling excitedly. She has the most beautiful, genuine smile I’ve ever seen. Seeing the genuine smile on her face made me realize that the people around me never had this look on their faces. They were never truly happy with me, they never loved me or laughed happily with me. “I want to know everything about you, Zoey. Are you from around here, are your family living in this city? Tell me about my brother, do you love him, do you feel butterflies in in your Tommy when he’s with you?” she asked me, bombarding me with too many questions. I tried my best to keep up with her excitement, trying to answer her question one after the other. I looked at her and wondered if I should be honest about myself with her. What if I tell her everything about me and she ended up hating me or calling me a fool like Jane did. I find myself holding back some information about myself from her, I can’t trust anyone right now. The fact that she wants us to be close as sisters makes it even worse. I had a sister once, I trusted her and what did I get in return? Betrayal! She would kill me the first chance she gets, and it’s not because I did something so bad to offend her, it’s out of jealousy, she is jealous of me a d projects her jealousy through hatred. My smile fades as I thought of Jane’s betrayal. Natalie must have seen it because she pulled me in for a hug and just held me tight, just like that. “What was that for?” I asked, surprised at the sudden move. “You look like you needed a hug, Zee. I just thought you deserved a hug, it’s and assurance that I will always be here for you as a sister that loves you unconditionally.” She told me, smiling beautifully. “Girls, get down here, your designers are here!” Sebastian called from down the stairs, yelling at the top of his voice. “Gosh, it’s so good to have you here, Zee. I can’t believe that Sebastian just screamed at the top of his voice instead of sending the maids to get us or texting me as usual. We practically walk on eggshell around this house because of him. Thank you for bringing out the best in my brother, you have no idea what this means to me.” She confessed happily as she pulled me down the stairs again. When we got down, I saw some ladies standing by a rack of beautiful, expensive outfits. It seems like someone ordered an entire boutique to be brought down here. I stared at the sitting room that I’d just left a few minutes ago, and it looked nothing like before. There were shoes lined on one side, bags had a shelf too as well as the many racks of outfits to chose from. “Someone decided to go the extra mile for his fiancée,” Natalie let out teasingly, earning a glare from him. I stared at both of them and I laughed at their closeness. If only my brother wasn’t so sick, I’m sure we would have shared this kind of bond. I looked at the different racks arranged in the sitting room and I realized that Natalie was right. These aren’t just party clothes. There are casual outfits and other nice things here too. I turned to him again and he had the most beautiful smile on his face as he waved me towards the hangers, “You can have anything you want, my pet. I didn’t want to stress you with shopping and all that. So I brought the shops down here, just for you.” He told me, smiling. “Who knew you could be a lover boy?” Natalie teased, earning a glare from him that made her shut her mouth immediately. We both picked so much outfits that we may never wear. It was not at the mall, but it was still fun because Sebastian and Natalie made me feel so relaxed and happy. “Here, I ordered this specially for tonight. I want you to stand out in the crowd, and also meet my family.” He told me, handing me a customized gown that he bought for me specially. It was so beautiful, and I loved it the moment that I Iaid my eyes on it. “Its so beautiful,” I commented, admiring the outfit. He handing Natalie and I jewelry boxes that has gold and diamonds on them, like real diamonds. This is way better than my mom’s jewelry box that I hold dear to my heart. I felt so happy to be treated like a princess. It still felt like a dream, I mean. Just yesterday I was hating this man for stealing my innocence. Now here I am being dazzled by him. “Is this a dream, Sebastian, are you for real?” I asked in a daze as he help me zip up my gown while I do the fitting. He chuckled as he came to stand in front of me, tipping my head sideways to kiss my lips fiercely, “How’s this for real?” he asked me teasingly, smiling down at me.
