The Alpha’s Omega

(Jordan’s POV) I woke up that morning like any other day but it wasn’t just a normal day at all. Today was my 18th birthday. I was officially an adult and today was the day I would gain my wolf. I got up out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After my shower was done, I brushed my teeth and sat on my bed in just a towel while staring off into space. Hello Jordan Hello. I’m guessing you are my wolf. Yes I am. My name is Madison. It’s nice to finally meet you Madison. Yes, it’s certainly a pleasure. Madison retreated to the back of my mind for now. She seemed very pleasant. I chuckled at that thought, but at least I would be sharing a mind and body with a polite wolf spirit. I got up and proceeded to get ready for school. .................. Once I got to school, I looked around to see if I could find Zoey. Zoey was my cousin but also my best friend, well only friend but whatever. I have been living with Zoey and her family for 5 years now and even though we live together we always drive separately because she likes to get to school earlier so she can try and flirt with Everett Briggs. Everett was the son of our pack’s current Beta, making him next in line for the job. He’s a pretty good looking guy but his sister, Kelly, is super possessive and tries to push away anyone who tries to talk to him. No wonder he hadn’t found his mate yet. Everett’s best friend is the Alpha’s son himself, Jonathan Woods. It was no secret Kelly was in love with Jonathan and always wanted to date him but rumor has it that he refuses to speak to anyone since he turned 18 because he’s waiting to find his mate. Jonathan turned 18 on the 1st of this month, it is now the 11th. We were born only 10 days apart and that’s because his mom went into labor with him a week early. We were both due the same day actually, December 9th, but I came late and he came early. Zoey used to always joke around with me saying that she believed Jonathan was my mate. I used to just laugh and roll my eyes because there’s no way on this planet that the Moon Goddess would ever pair the future Alpha with some bottom of the barrel Omega like me. I went to my locker and that’s when I found Zoey leaning up against it. “Hey biotch” Zoey said with a smirk. “Why are you leaning against my locker like some creeper. Oh my Goddess, is this where you confess your love for me?” I said sarcastically. We had a kind of messed up humor with each other. “Only in your dreams you skank!” She said and stuck her tongue out. “Yeah, yeah. Love you too whore.” I closed my locker and looked at her. “So when are you gonna pay me for our bet?” “What bet are you talking about, Zoey?” “The bet that I’m about to win when you discover that I was right about Jonathan being your mate.” “Dude, shut up before Kelly hears you!” “Jordan, you’ve gotta stop being afraid of her. She’s not gonna do anything to you.” “You really don’t know that. Kelly is messed up in the head and you know it.” Just then, Kelly walked in with her boyfriend, Kyle, and Everett. Kyle was Kelly’s boyfriend but they weren’t mates. Rumor has it that Kelly rejected her mate for Jonathan but when he turned her down, she took Kyle as her chosen mate. As far as I know, Kyle still hasn’t found his destined mate and I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he does. Kelly is the epitome of a mean girl and no one likes her and her terrible attitude. Just then, Kelly started yelling out of nowhere at her brother. “Everett! Everett! Hello?! EARTH TO EVERETT?!?!?” She screamed in her shrill voice. Everett, however, was not paying attention to his sister and was staring off into the row of lockers after mine. Then it dawned on me what was happening. “Zoey, I think Everett just found his mate.” I whispered. “Ah poo. I was hoping it would be me.” Zoey said pouting. “ I wonder who it is.” I knew only one person who shared the same birthday as me and would be 18 today. “Mallory.” I said. Just then Mallory emerged from the cluster of lockers and went straight into Everett’s arms. There was a lot of commotion along with Kelly screaming so I decided to make my way out of there. As I was walking down the hallway back to the main entrance so I could get to the Art hallway, I caught a scent that was like no other. It smelled like citrus fruits and pine. Mate! It’s our mate! Madison was practically jumping for joy in my head. There was no one around that I could see. Just then, I heard something behind me and I turned around. I ran directly into a wall in the form of a muscular chest. I looked up and saw that it none other than Jonathan Woods. “Crap” I said lowly, turned, and ran down the hallway and out the front doors.
