CHAPTER FIVE

"f**k!" That was just series of photos of a poisoning incident. We arrived at the Velana International Airport at 3:35 am by Washington time. But here, it's already 12:35pm dahil nine-hours ahead ang lugar na 'to kumpara sa bansang pinanggalingan namin ni Hudson. "We'll transfer to a sea plane so suit yourself," ani Hudson sa akin. I couldn't help but hissed because of his statement. As much as I wanted to kill that asshole, kailangan kong magtimpi. After few hours of travelling, we arrived at Dhonakulhi Island in Maldives. As far as I am concerned, hindi rito tutuloy si Lee. We decided to keep our accomodation as far as possible from where he will be staying just in case things will turn messy or will not go according to what we planned. According to our inside source, Lee has a reservation at Maamutaa Island and will arrive later this afternoon. Sinadya na rin naming mauna just so we could have a good scan of the place and to prepare our weapons. "Let's set our watches first," ani Hudson sa akin. I connected it to my smartwatch at muling lumitaw ang hologram ni Damira. "I can see that you arrived in Maldives already," aniya. "You should be sleeping by now, Damira. Don't worry about us," Hudson uttered. "I mean, there's nothing to worry about me but Brielle here..." I cut him off by raising one of my middle fingers. He laughed it off at saka umalis na para ayusin ang mga gamit niya. We won't be staying here for too long. After we got who we need, aalis din kami sa lugar na 'to. But it's easier said than done. "Brielle, my reminder," Damira warned. I nodded my head yes to assure her na hindi ko naman kinakalimutan ang paalala niya. "Prepare your weapons now, update me about Lee's status once possible." "Rest assured that we'll do that, Dame," I said before ending the call. What we have right now is a multifunctioned gun with the same features as the riffle used by Hudson sa nakaraang misyon namin but this time, it has palm-print sensor. Once the gun is used by other person other than me and Hudson, it will explode on its own. But using this gun still varies on my case dahil ako ang pinakamagbababad sa inside perimeter at si Hudson naman ang sa labas. That's why I brought two different pistols to use, which Denver specialized the other one with a silencer and an identifier. The gun and the bullets were programmed especially for Lee's biometrics and DNA. Damira made sure na ang mga baril na 'to ang mapupunta sa akin dahil alam niya kung paano ako gumalaw sa misyon. Sa ganitong paraan, they can assure a much bigger probability na hindi mapapahamak si Lee sa kamay ko. When Hudson's done with his things ay minabuti naming magpalit muna at sumakay ng bangka palipat sa isla ng Maamutaa. Now, we have to check the island's perimeter. For possible entrances or exits just in case when everything becomes turmoil because of our encounter later on, and for possible leads to the aconite poisoning na ipinaalam sa amin ni Damira. If Lee's still behind this aconite poisoning, I'll be hoping against hope that I can f*****g kill that fucker with my own hands. "You'll go at 12, I'll go at 3," Hudson said once we reached the land, giving the directions that we'll be going to. I turned on my in-ear before we parted our ways. There's nothing much to this island. Maliban sa hilera ng cottages sa mismong dagat ay halos wala ng kumplikadong pwesto sa lugar, and that's one thing that we should worry. Knowing that Hudson will carry a riffle later, mahihirapan itong humanap ng pwesto niya. Not to mention the fact na hindi pa namin alam kung saan eksaktong pipwesto si Lee mamaya, and that problem must be dealt by me. Kailangan kong masiguro na pipwesto si Lee sa lugar na gusto ko at naaayon sa amin, or else, our chance will be wasted. Just like us, Lee won't stay here for long. He only had 1 night reservation for his hotel and after that, God knows where can we find him next or what he's up to. I occupied one of the huts alongside the long beach nang biglang may speedboat na dumating. "Target...has arrived."
