Chapter 11: New Kid In The House

Rekka teared through the food with his teeth. He was hungry and ate a lot. The Haruki family didn't know what to do with him. They could not tell anyone he was here, so they kept him in secret. Akio didn't go outside often too, fearing they would catch and interrogate him.
Parents went to buy new clothes for Rekka and Akio. They went to shops far away, so they didn't recognize them and asked if they had a new kid. Rekka stayed at home with Akio and Hina. Akio played games with him, but Rekka asked her:
-Hina onee-san! Want two play gamwes with us?
Hina smiled and accepted his request.
That night, when they left for bed, Akio and Rekka slept beside each other. The parents were still scared of the boy, only Hina warmed up to him.
In the middle of the night, Akio woke up. He sees Rekka once again having symbols on his hands and his teeth and nails were shining. He then started to emit fire. Akio got scared and confused, so he tried to wake him up. Once Rekka woke up, his symbols disappeared and he started crying. Family rushed into the room, fearing something might have happened. They saw crying Rekka hugging Akio with Akio and the bed having burn marks. Kiyoshi again got mad at Akio for letting him stay, but before he said anything, Akio looked at him menacingly, knowing he would've worsened the situation. He didn't say anything. Hina went to them and started comforting the crying kid too. The parents went out of the room and they went back to sleep. Akio calmly asked Rekka:
-What happened. had a nightmare?
Rekka wiped away the tears and told him.
- Its h-him. – He said in a frail voice – He scwares m-me. Everywthing was b-burning and mom... and dad...
He started crying again. Hina told her:
-Everything is okay Rekka-chan; we are here for you no matter what happens.
After Rekka went back to sleep, Akio told Hina as she was leaving the room:
-Something is residing in this boy and we need to help him.
Hina smiled, nodded her head and went back to sleep.
