I Was Born With A Demon Lord Inside Of Me, Who Wants To Kill

Chapter 2: Past

The man is a well-known adventurer named Asahi Rekka.

He is 13 years old,  163 cm tall and a Tier 6 adventurer! At that age, it's very impressive to be such a high Tier. He is the main character of this story, so before we go further into his present life, let me tell you about his tragic past.

Rekka did not come from a wealthy family. He was born with red hair, nails and canine teeth. His parents were confused and scared of the newborn's appearance. Neither of them or their ancestors had red hair and it was the first time they saw different colored sharp teeth, even more when it's the only teeth he had. Others haven't grown yet. The family was devastated and did not know what to do. Rekka doesn't remember his parents, so I'm not going to call them by names. Father suggested that they do not show the child to the public for a while and see how he develops.

-We should keep him inside. Who knows how the public will react.

Rekka grew like a normal child. Once, the parents noticed he possessed fire magic, which they learned when he burned the bed when he was sleeping. At first, they thought it was something else's fault, but they still were suspicious. When it happened again, they knew it was magic. This made them happy that he possessed magic, but made them even more concerned about his future. They named the boy Asahi Rekka because of his possession of fire magic.

-He will grow into a strong man. - Said the mother while hugging Rekka.

-I hope. - Answered the father.

When Rekka became 5 years old, the family took him outside for the first time on his birthday. His family was scared to let him go because of his appearance, but after a long talk, they decided that it was safe. When the townspeople saw him, they were scared and disgusted. He quickly became the talk of the town. He was feared and residents avoided him. The guards, with the orders of higher-ups surrounded the family and took the child. Mother resisted and father attacked the guards, but he was hit in the head and got knocked out. After mother saw his husband bleeding, he broke free from guards and rushed to him in tears. 

-WHY!? HE DID NOTHING WRONG! - She cursed at the guards, telling them that they should protect people not hurt them.

Rekka was taken in the main laboratory. He was scared and started crying, desperately calling his parents for help. He was put to sleep with LVL 1 magic and they started inspecting him. They didn't find anything suspicious. His blood was normal, he didn't possess any abnormalities other than his appearance and had normal reactions. Things changed when he woke up. Rekka slowly opened his eyes and saw someone that wasn't his family. He remembered what happened and instinctively threw a fireball at the man. 

-AAAH! - His face burned as he was screaming in agony. 

Guards quickly ran inside the room after they heard the loud noise and saw the scientists face was on fire. They quickly rushed to him, thinking something was caught on fire in the laboratory, but they did not see anything. Only the child in the lab bed, some utensils, machinery and white/grey walls. When they put the fire out, the man's face was deformed and burnt. He wasn't conscious. Rekka didn't know how to talk well, so they couldn't ask him about what happened. They took the sobbing child, bathed and fed him. One guard was particularly nice with him and they played games together. His name was Akio. He calmed the boy down, saying that he could see his parents soon. Rekka got attached to him and said he should come to his home to play more. Akio smiled and said he would if he had the time

After they checked the results and saw nothing, they returned the kid to the family the next day, saying that they were sorry and their judgement was wrong. Mother took the child in his hands and cried as the father yelled at the guards. They said that the kid was perfectly healthy and told them about the incident that happened in the laboratory. Parents looked at each other with fear and acted as if they did not know anything. Guards noticed that they were acting suspicious, but they couldn't think of anything and compensated the family with 3000 gold, 1000 silver and 1000 copper coins. They left and Akio waved to Rekka. Rekka waved back as well and they left.

Parents were scared and knew that soon; they would find out what happened. They quickly gathered their belongings, took the money, bought a horse with a cart with 500 gold and headed out of the city with hope of a better place for Rekka to stay.
