Finally I have found my mate

Alice slowly opened her heavy eyes. She was still groggy but she knew she was being carried. Large arms were folded around her tiny, limp body, bringing her close to a torso. She could see the tall trees steadily moving past her. As she looked up, she could see the sun rising. The sky was orange. She tried to smile. Her and Lea used to sneak out the pack house and watch the sun rise, making plans to leave the outlaws. She snapped back to the figure.

“Where are you taking me” Alice asked quietly. She still couldn’t make out who it was. Everything seemed to be blacked out.

“It’s ok you are safe now, I will always keep you safe” a voice huskily replied. A voice she had never heard before but just hearing it made her feel safe and fall back into a deep sleep.

Alice opened her eyes. A bed? Where am I? She tried to sit up but a throbbing pain hit her head.

“Ow” she moaned as she slid back down holding her head. She flinched as she touched where the pain was coming from. There was a small bandage over the cut, it had neatly been arranged so it had not caught her long brunette hair. She touched her cheek remembering where that awful creature has swiped her.

“Owwww” she moaned again. Was she here alone she thought.

“Hello? Anyone there?”

Nothing.

Fuck.

Her eyes slowly moved around the room, she tried desperately to take it all in. Wow! Where the hell was she? The room she was in was huge. It was decorated beautifully and could tell that no penny had been spared. Not like her old bedroom. It was a small room with concrete floor, with four concrete walls. A small wooden bed and a toilet in the corner. This was no where near that. The bed was a four poster with a small sofa at the end of it. A large wardrobe filled the corner with a long and wide mirror. She could see a bathroom attached to the room on the other side. The room also smelt fresh and a tad of lavender filling the air. It was a lot nicer than that awful forest.

Alice pulled the cover over her legs. She took a moment to take it all in then let her feet slowly touch the floor. She wiggled her toes between the rug. She looked down to see her body was covered in big purple bruises. It wouldn’t take long for her to heal and in a few hours they would be gone. She mustered the energy to stand but staggered slightly gripping hold of the bed. Her curvy petite body hurt all over. She had always been the smallest of the pack in human form but when switched to her wolf, she was one of the largest.

A knock at door.

“Hello, who is it?” Alice could only muster a squeak.

“please let me come in and I will introduce myself properly” Alice recognised the voice, however, she couldn’t place it.

“Yes, come in” she replied

The double door slowly opened and in came the most gorgeous being she had ever seen. It was him. Her rescuer.

“Hello” his eyes penetrated hers and even though she tried, she couldn’t bring herself to break the stare.

“Hello” Alice replied quietly.

He was wearing a black muscle fit t shirt that hugged his huge muscles. When he slowly made a movement you could see his 8 pack underneath. He smelt amazing Alice thought to herself.

He slowly made his way over to Alice, still never breaking eye contact. Once he got close, close enough to reach out and touch her, he smiled.

He was intrigued, she could tell. The way his head slightly fell to the side, eyeing her up. His eyes broke the gaze as he looked at her clothes.

“I asked my housekeeper to get you some new clothes. Your others were ripped and dirty. I hope that is ok”

“Oh er thank you” god how did she not notice she had been changed into a silk nightie? It hugged her body, showing her curves off perfectly.

All of a sudden she felt exposed. She put her hands around her waist and her gaze dropped to the floor.

He sensed her panic and with a few short strides he had made his way to the bathroom, grabbed a robe and made his way back to her.

“Here put this on” he handed the robe to her and she quickly put it on.

Without warning he was In front of her, eyeing her again.

“My name is Liam. I promise to take care of you, protect you and make my home your home. You are safe here”

As he spoke he voice had a wave of calmness spread over her. She went weak at her knees. Pull yourself together Alice what is wrong with you she thought.

“Oh, er thank you Liam. That’s very kind of you. I won’t stay long though. I don’t want to take up much of your time”

His eyebrow raised slightly and a smirk came onto his face.

“You don’t feel that?” He asked quizzing her. He stepped forward closing the gap between them. Oh, wow Alice thought. He smelt amazing. I wonder what aftershave he wears. She gazed up at his face. He was tall, dark and handsome with a rough and ready look. He was looking down at her 5ft 3 slender body and She started to squirm.

“You don’t know who I am?” He asked this time.

“Sorry no I don’t” she replied. She had started to feel a little more confident in his presence. What the hell is going on she thought to herself. Was this some sort of sick dream? The guy of her dreams stood towering over her, smelling amazing and telling her she was safe? She had dreamt of this moment over and over again during the last five years but she never thought something like this would actually happen.

“You my love, are my mate” the words knocked her backwards, shocking her. She stumbled slightly but he Instantly caught her and with that touch it was confirmed. Her whole body responded to him. It was like fireworks had gone off within her. Her yearning for him grew. She felt safe. She felt wanted. She never wanted to leave his side.

He steadied her and then reached out and placed his hand on her cheek bringing his long fingers over the grazes. She wanted to place them in her mouth and give them a suck. What the hell Is wrong with me Alice scolded herself.

“I do feel it. I didn’t before but I do now”

“I will never let anyone harm you again” he whispered. It was almost like he said the words for himself. He pulled her in. His strong arms wrapped around her waist as he breathed her scent in. She instantly put her arms around his waist. He was strong, powerful and wow, built. He was sexy as hell. She never wanted to let him go. But she pulled away. She needed answers.

“Liam, where am I? What were those things?”

“They are one of the many creatures that live in the forest. Dangerous and cold. They are growing each day and threaten the tribes around the forest. They want power”

“What did they want from me” Alice looked up.

“I’ve been asking myself the same question however I have my own question to ask you my love. What is your name?” His eyebrows lifted again as a smirk crept over his beautiful lips. She gazed at him and their eyes met again. With that, he pulled her into his body tightly, wrapping his muscular arms around her and lifting her up like he was cradling her.

“Alice, my name is Alice” she replied her voice low and husky.

“Alice” Her name rolled off his lips like butter melting. She melted right into his arms.

“Well Alice, welcome home. I have finally found you. I’ve waited my whole life for you and I am not disappointed. You my love are gorgeous and I’m never letting you out my sight again” and with saying that he lowered his head and placed a kiss on her forehead and the fireworks that had been building inside her finally went off.

She had found him. Finally.

Liam had excused himself and left the room a few moments later, promising he would be back soon and to make herself at home. He had placed her carefully on the bed, kissed her forehead again and left. As soon as the large wooden double doors closed she felt the yearning for him to come back. She hopped off the bed and made her way to the bathroom.

“What the?” Alice squealed as she took in the bathroom. The tub was huge. A small pool more like. There was a walk-in shower on the other side and a toilet and sink beside her. How had she gotten so lucky. With that her thoughts snapped back to Lea. Her tears started to fall. How could she have gotten away and Lea not. Lea deserved this too. Her heart was broken for her.

Alice took off the robe and nightie and made her way to the walk in shower. She switched it on letting the hot water run down her tired and swollen body. Her wolf was not healing as quickly as it normally would. That’s ok, Alice thought gently. It had been a hell of a few days. Her wolf would be tired and emotional for Lea.

Alice stopped. She listened. she couldn’t hear Liam but she could smell him. She knew he was there. She had her back to the door. Her long wet hair was falling down her back. Her body yearned for him. She knew he would feel it too. She slowly turned. He had his back to her, giving her privacy. He seemed to sense she had turned round.

“Mary, my housekeeper has filled the wardrobe with clothes for you. I hope they will be ok” his voice had turned low and husky.

“That’s very kind thank you Liam” her tone matched his. He flinched at it, his fists were clenched. She knew what he wanted to do. She wanted it too. Since he had touched her, she only wanted him. She wanted him to touch her body. Be one with him. She knew the mate bond was strong but she was never fully prepared for it to be this strong. She had waited a long time for this and she was not disappointed.

“I need to go tend to some business Alice, however, you are welcome to leave this room and explore your new home. Mary is currently making you some breakfast.

“Breakfast?” Alice questioned. “How long have I been asleep?”

“2 days my love. You obviously were ready for some sleep so take your time now getting ready. Make sure you eat something. I will be in meetings majority of the morning but I will find you after”

Alice smiled. He cared for her and she loved that. He still had his back to her. He wanted to keep her privacy.

“Thank you Liam. I will”

And with that he left. As soon as she heard the door close she wanted him back. To be present.

“Pull yourself together Alice. He will be back”. She turned off the shower after washing her hair. She wondered what meetings he was in. What did he do? He must be important. She made a mental note to ask him when she saw him next.

With a towel wrapped around her she made her way to the large wardrobe. She gasped when she opened both doors. The clothes in there was beautiful. Dresses, jeans and tops. She opened a drawer and covered her mouth. Her underwear had never been this sexy before matching? Wow there’s a first. She pulled out the most comfortable looking bra and panties and slid them on. She chose a red skater type dress that showed off her waist. She pulled out some pumps and put them on. She glanced at herself in the large mirror. She already didn’t recognise herself. She looked pretty for a change. The dress complimented her well and confidence took over her.

She brushed through her long locks and started to dry her hair with the hairdryer soothing out the frizz. She wanted to make good first impressions. Alice quickly applied some mascara and took a step backwards to look again in the mirror.

Right ready she thought. And with that she skipped out the room.
