The Escape Gone Wrong

“Please, please Lea stay with me! You can’t leave me like this!” Alice Mccaw was kneeling over her friend, clutching on to her tiny body. They finally thought they could escape this filthy, disgusting place. How wrong they were. It had been 5 years to the day they were captured and held hostage by the outlaws. On Alice’s 15th birthday the outlaws stormed their tribe, took the woman hostage and slaughtered the men. It was out the blue and their tribe didn’t see it coming. It was a m******e. Both Lea and Alice lost their parents. Over the years they had been forced to serve the outlaws in whatever they wanted. The outlaws were never allowed to touch the woman, however, it didn’t stop their filthy eyes looking. They finally thought they were free. Alice and Lea had spent months planning, saving and waiting for the right time to leave this hell of a place. They thought that time was tonight. How wrong they were. Alice screamed again, this time more emotion filled her voice. “Lea? No please, I beg you, stay with me. I need you with me.” Tears were pouring down her face, dropping onto Leas neck. Her open wound was on show where one of the guards had managed to sink his long canine fangs into her neck. While the guard was distracted with Lea, Alice had managed to grab the knife out of the small backpack they had packed. She managed to plunge the knife right into the guards back making him stagger backwards while Lea fell to the floor. Before he could regain his balance, Alice, with all her might, pushed the knife into his chest. He fell down with a thud. s**t Alice thought, the 1st guard probably heard that. How could they have been so blind? How could they have forgotten one tiny detail? The second guard! Alice snapped back when Lea looked up with her blue eyes directly into hers. Alice could see the light in them start to fade. Lea mustered the strength to raise her petite fingers and place them on Alice’s cheek. Her hands were soft a per, delicate but instead of her normal warm touch, they were cold like ice. Lea looked directly into Alice’s eyes and the words that came out of her slender lips made Alice shiver. “Alice, you need to run. Now”
