Questions for details
- How did Kaylin and Cade meet?
Kaylin was staying in a prestigious hotel for a convention that was vital for her father's business. She went out for a walk to clear her head before it starts and bumped into this handsome tourist in front of a florist shop enjoying his brief visit in the beautiful city. That tourist was Cade Tucker and his enthusiasm for travelling matched hers which left her feeling very hollow and wanting to pursue her dream.
- How do they become friends?
The convention was to take a week to unfold as a hopeful success, which it did given Kaylin's genius to work in high-pressure situations, in between work Kaylin goes back to that shop hoping to catch Cade and just like her he waits for her there everyday until she has to go back. Kaylin treasures their little time together and soaks in any interesting stories he has about his journey. And through it all they become friends who enjoy each others company a little too much that leaving becomes a very regretted ordeal.
- Where does 'marriage' come from?
Before they were leaving Cade had convinced Kaylin to discuss her wish to tour different places with her parents. He mused maybe they think she loves what she's doing and maybe they have no idea how much she needs a break from it. Communication is the key, he said. And Kaylin listened. Hopeful that maybe that's true because she has never once brought up anything that she wants to do, how were they to know she doesn't like it? But what if they don't understand her? What if they are just as detached from her wants and needs as she has always known them to be? And to that Cade had suggested to come back to him because he might not be able to ever give her the luxurious life she's living now but he would make sure her heart is rich with his love for the rest of their lives. Her parents did react negatively to her request for some time off to travel and a huge quarrel erupted with their accusations against the man (Cade) who'd seamlessly approached her and effectively trapped her because of her wealth. Hurt beyond measure because they'd kept a spy on her Kaylin left their house with only the clothes on her back and went to Cade. Who accepted her just as he'd promised without the wealth, without anything but her heart.
- What did they blackmail Cade with?
The only alive family of Cade is a distant cousin who's just recovered from a trauma of her own and started a family with her husband. Kaylin's parents threatened to cause trouble for her if Cade didn't leave Kaylin alone. Cade was helpless to do anything but disappear because his cousin has done a lot for him through the years.
