Chapter 19: Anger

Matthew's POV

Just as Alexis left with Lola shopping, I have made myself busy around the pack house. I first finished all the paperwork I had from the pack and then I helped a little with the training. After the training I had a quick shower and right now I’m laying on the bed and reading to keep my mind busy.

As I’m reading, I feel my phone vibrate on my chest and I sit the book aside. I look at the scree and see that it’s Lola calling me. Strange she never talks to me by phone.  I sit up and answer the phone.

“Hey Lola, something wrong?”

“I- I- I don’t know. She went to the bathroom and now she is not here”

“Okay slow down. What happened?” As I hear her scared voice, she explains what had happened. My phone slips from my hand as it comes crashing down onto me. My world, my live, my soulmate has been kidnapped. Ripped away from me. I can’t control my wolf and he lashes out to Lola, and I can hear her whimper from her side of the call. I let out a frustrated growl and my wolf forces a shift.

Once shifted my wolf locks me out and take fully control of my wolf body. My wolf takes out running into the woods and I cannot read his mind, so I do not know his actions nor his thoughts. Right now, his priority is his mate, so he is probably going to the last spot where she was.

As my wolf keeps on running the forest soon comes to an end and the city shimmers. My wolf lifts us his nose into the air and it smells where last was his mate. We soon arrive to the mall and her scent lingers, but it is faint. Who ever took her was smart to mask her scent, I will give the person that. But the person was not smart enough, since it thought it was a good idea to kidnap my mate. MY MATE. The person has hell to come for touching a single hair of her head.

My wolf returns home after a few hours of smelling the perimeter and finding nothing. My wolf is now a little calmer which gave me access to my human body and I could shift back. Once back in control I called everyone. At least everyone important and close.

“If something happens to my little sister it’s on, your a*s Matthew!” Mateo said as he pointed his index finger at me.

“You don’t think I know that Mateo? She is my world! I will give up my live for her!” I say as I slam by fist into the meeting table and let out a snarl.

“How about we all calm down? Right now, our priority is our Luna” Lucas said, and he is right, we should both calm down, even if it’s just a little.

“Yeah, and both of you can rest assure that we will bring her back” Conrad said as he crossed his arms around his chest.

“Even if it’s the last thing we do” Sebastian said, and I could hear the sadness in his voice. He out of the three brothers was the one that most bonded with Alexis. I know he loves her as a sister and he wants her back, just as much as I do.

I take a deep breath to collect my thought and to calm down. I run my hand through my hair and let out a frustrated sigh. I cross my arms around my chest and look at my only lead.

“I want you to tell me everything that happened. From the moment you picked up Alexis to the moment you found out she was gone” I tell Lola as she plays with her fingers as if they were the most interesting thing out there.

“Okay” She said in a breath.

“And that’s everything that happened” Lola finished up

“So basically, we got nothing?” I say as I get up abruptly from my chair. “We spent the last two hours hearing your side of the story, to gain nothing?” I say as I through my hands in the air dramatically.

“Such good friend you turned out to be. You let your best fiend get kidnapped from right under your nose” I say as I laugh humorlessly.

In a fast movement Lola is right in front of me and the sound of skin connecting with skin is the only thing that can be heard in the office. I hold my right check and let out a snarl at Lola. She did not just slap me.

“You might be her mate, but she is my best friend! Don’t you ever question my loyalty to her and don’t you ever joke around about out friendship. You don’t even know half the story about our friendship” She said and with that she was about of the office

“Man f*ck this! I will find her with out you all. You guys are just as useless as her” I say and shift into my wolf and run towards the forest for the second time in this day.

“You calmed now?” Lucas voice came from the dark living room.

“F*ck you”

“Wouldn’t you want to find your mate first?” He asked as he got up from the sofa and walked up to me. I let out a warning growl to him, but he just ignored it. Lucas come up in front of me and gives me a hard blow to the chest.

“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?”

“ME? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?” Lucas shouted back at me and I growled at him. My wolf is not liking the disrespect he is getting from his baby brother. And neither am I.

“We heard the shouting, what the hell is going on here?” Sebastian asked as he and Conrad ran inside the living room looking all too lost.

“You two stay out of it” Lucas said and the both of them stepped back.

“I don’t want to hurt you Lucas”

“Give it your best shoot” He said as he gets in a fighting stand and I lunch to strike him, but he ducks and gives me a hard blow to my stomach

“WHAT THE HELL!”

“I should ask you the same. You are the one shouting and driving the wolves that are trying to help you find your mate away” Lucas said and as I was about to strike him, I stood still, frozen by his words. He is right. The only thing I have done today was lash out at everyone. I spent the day being a little kid instead of finding a solution to my problem.

My knees give up on me and I am soon crashing down to the ground. Once I hit the ground the first tear is shred, and soon the other came. I cried since I did not know what else to do. I was soon wrapped around arms, and I could feel my brothers heat.

“We will find her” Lucas said.
