Chapter 20: Remember

I groan as I open my eyes slowly. As my eyes flutter open all the events come crashing down unto me. I open my eyes wildly and gasp trying to calm down my beating heart. I look around and I don’t see much. Everything is dark and as I’m about to get up from the floor, I hear the sound of metal clinging. I look at both my wrist and notice that they are chained to the wall. I try to use my wolf strength to pull at the chains, but it’s of no use, I can’t access my wolf.

A low and dangerous chuckle booms it’s way through the room and I shiver at the sound. I scramble to the nearest wall and press my eyes close. Hoping that I wake up from this horrible nightmare.

“You aren’t going to scape that easily. This is not a nightmare sweetheart” The voice said, and I open my eyes immediately and notice that this is not all a horrible dream. I have in fact been kidnapped.

“Who the hell are you?” I asked ad I snarled at the men that had the audacity to kidnap me. I will enjoy ripping him apart. And so, will my mate.

“You know I have always like this attitude of yours” The man said, and I growl at him, and he just chuckle in return. “You are chained to the wall, yet you still stand your ground. Damm” He said. I shiver with his chuckle and close my eyes and gather all of my anger.

I stand up from the floor with a groan as my body hurts' and so does my head. I squint my eyes trying to see the wolf behind this madness. But I only see the silhouette of the wolf, and nothing more. The scent is all over the place and it’s driving me crazy.

“My mate will kill you, that is if I don’t do it first” I say with a smirk on my face. The man didn’t like the sound of that, as he lets out a growl.

“You are mine and only mine. So, you better stop thinking about that Alpha mutt of yours” He said and I think I vomited inside my mouth right know. Who those this wolf think he is?

“You think you scare me? I have seen, be through and escaped hell. It won’t be hard to do it one last time” I say with a chuckle as I move forward towards the silhouette. But the changes click together, not letting me move any further.

“I have always loved that laugh of yours. It always did bring joy to me” The wolf said, and I most look confused since he continue talking. “What? About a few years apart and you already forgot me?” The wolf said with a chuckle as me moves between the bars of the cell. Making me been able to look at him better.

“Oh my god-” I said as I gasp at the wolf in front of me.

“So, you do remember me” The wolf said, and I’m still looking lost. He still has the same black hair, only know it’s longer and its not styled, his skin looks darker than like I remember.

“Elijah…” I gasp out and I see a smirk grow.

“Hey there little monkey” He says with a wink.

“Don’t call me that” I say. “What the hell is wrong with you? I thought you were dead! I f*****g morn you! I looked for you!” I yell out to Elijah. I can’t believe he has been alive this whole time.

“I never died. I just stayed in the shadows. But I did die that day, the day you rejected me. But I have been reborn and now you are finally going to be mine.” He says as he lifts my chain up to meet his eyes that spark with something that I don’t recognize. I move my chin from his fingers and snarl at him.

“I never rejected you! You weren’t my destiny!” I raise my voice at him.

“Think again little monkey” He said with a low chuckle. “You were always mine. Think back, I always had you eating from my palm, I threaten to kill the boys from your school if they talked to you. You were always mine baby” He said, and I shiver at his words. I never looked at what we had more than just a friendship. “And know I can have you all to myself” He said as he licks his bottom lip. “Only problem is that stupid Alpha. But not to worry I will get rid of him soon” He said, and I let out a growl.

“You will not touch my mate!” I said and with that his hand connected with my cheek. I hold onto my cheek and take two steps away from him.

“I am your mate, not that mutt.” He said as he came closer to me. “So, you better get that through that thick scull of yours” He said as he pointed at my head. I back away some more, but I stumble with the chains and I fall down onto the cold ground of the cell. “I don’t want to hurt you baby, please don’t make me ever hit some sense into you ever again” He said and then patted my head like a good dog. He kneeled down and looked me deep into my eyes, then he placed a kiss on my forehead and with that he left.

I grab onto my knees and place them as closer as I can to my chest. Thinking that the smaller I make myself, there would be a possibility that I will disappear from this hell whole. But to no such luck.

I can hear my cries echo through this empty place, as the thoughts of never leaving this hell consume me.

And I was brought from the hell of my rapist father, to the hell of my ex-best friend.
