Chapter 13: Control

After the game I went up stairs and into our bedroom. I took a bath, but when I came out Mat was not in the room. So I went to look for him. Next thing I know I'm up in front of his office door. I decided to enter the office. And that was one hell of a bad decision.

As I entered the office all the heads turned to look at me. Apparently Mat was on a reunion and didn't tell me. How wonderful. Anyway I nervously walked and sat next to Mat, who was in shock that I had entered the office. "Um. Alpha Demetrius, this is my Luna Alexis" Mat greeted us and we shook hands. He was given me a far off look and all I did was shift uncomfortably and I took Mat's hand into mine. 

"Well that was disrespectful, don't you think Matthew" excuse me? Who the hell does this guy think he is? "If She were to be my Luna, I wouldn't let her disrespect me in front of another Alpha. She would have been punished" 

I look at Mat, who is giving me a worried face. But as the words left his mouth I couldn't help but cringe. I let out a breath and I look at Mat, then I notice that Mat tensed up, I decided to take my hand out of his and place it on his knee and just moved it up and down. He relaxed under my touch and that's when I decided to speak up. "I'm sorry. But I don't think I have disrespected anyone here. Because if I recall I have as much power as Matthew has under this pack. And I am surly not disrespecting Matthew by entering the office because this office is as good as mine as it is of his. But in any occasion the person disrespecting here is you. Now can we go back to the meeting?" I look around to see everyone either shifting uncomfortably or with wide eyes. It really doesn't surprise me. What can I say? Don't mess with the Luna of the Red Moon Pack.

"Well...um...as I was saying Alpha, there have been rouges attack to the near by pack-" I had to cut him off. "So? let them come. We will be ready" I say as I cross my arms and Alpha Demetrius holds his gaze with Mat, clearly avoiding my eyes. 

"I think it will be a good idea to make a truce and join forces" said Alpha Demetrius, but I wasn't really convinced, something was off about this 'truce'. "I think we will do just fine by ourselves" I say and make a look at Mat so that he would dismiss the Alpha and his guards. "Thanks for the information Alpha, we will be in touch" I hear Mat's voice behind me. He stud up from his chair and shook Alpha Demetrius's hand. We dismissed them. And when the door was closed, I was quickly pined up against the wall. "Mhm, you look sexy as hell when you take control of the situation" Mat said while trailing kisses up and down my mark. A moan escapes my mouth and I see Mat fixing his gaze to lock eyes with me.

"What?" I can't help but giggle at the fact that Mat is looking at me so mysterious.

"When are we going to have pups?" His question throws me off guard that I almost fell, but thank the Moon Goddess that he was holding me, because if not I will be face plat on the floor.

"Well I don't know. I haven't really thought of it. And since I'm still young well..." I shift uncomfortably looking at the floor.

"It's okay. It's just a question" he says with a smile on his face. And to think that he is known to be a heartless monster.

"You don't think it was a bad idea to turn down the truce, do you?" I ask

"No" he said with a smile on his face.

"Okay" I say as I lose myself from his grip and walk out of the room.

I lay on the bed looking up at the ceiling when a mind-link entered my mind. "The pack is going for a run, what to join?" I hear Mat ask me. "Sure" I replay jumping out of the bed. "Well we are waiting for you at the forest" with that said, I shot off my mind-link and rushed down the stairs and into the hallway. Where I say a lot of wolves, some bowing their heads. I changed into my wolf and took off running with the pack.

It's so good to go running. The wind hitting your fur, the mud on your paws, it's so exciting. At a moment, me and Mat toke a different track and went out a separate way from the pack. We started playing little pups game, and for the first time in my life I have felt free.

-1 hour later-

It was almost midnight, it was time we head back to the pack house. Mat howled at the pack and all went back home. When we arrived the pack has lined up and made us a path that lead up to the pack house. As we passed by the wolves, they would bow their heads. But it was this specific wolf that held his gaze up at me. I gave him a small smile and continued to walk. When suddenly I heard a growl erupted from behind me. That's when I saw that Mat has pinned down to the ground at the poor wolf. I didn't know what to do. "Don't. Look. At. Her!" He snarled his teeth to the wolf. I came up to him and growled at him, but he didn't pay attention to me. So I decided to bite his ear and pull him off the wolf. Everyone was stunned as I had just attacked my own mate and as they saw that I put myself in the middle of the wolf and Mat. He growled at me before storming off into the pack house.

I followed quickly and went up the room, still on my wolf form. I changed into my human form and quickly entered our room, since I was naked. And I say Mat standing by the window with his arms crossed. I went to the closet and dressed myself. I stepped out of the closet and that's when I'm pined up against the wall. "Why would you do that? You just disrespect me in front of my whole pack" oh no he did not just say that to me. 

"First of all this is OUR pack and second I will not stand by and see you hurt another wolf, specially one from OUR pack!" I yell at him and he just opened his eyes wide and slide his hands up his chest. "He was looking at you. Damn it!" He said frustrated as he walked up to the window again. "So you will kill anyone that would look at me?" I ask as I crossed my arms around my chest. "If I have to then YES!" He said moving his hands up in the air. "This is ridicules" I say and roll my eyes. I walk to the bathroom and took a really long hot shower. After my shower I put one of Mat's shirt and some underware. Once I walked out of the bathroom, Mat was still looking out the window. I roll my eyes and walk to my side of the bed. I sit down on the bed and starts scrolling on my phone. 

"I'm sorry I snapped at you" I hear Mat say as he sat right next to me on the bed. I let out a sigh. "I'm sorry too, I shouldn't have bitted your ear, but you really need to stop being so possessive" I say as I look up to meet his gaze. He lets out a small laugh. "I can't help it, you are mine and I don't like wolves looking at what is mine" 

"Exactly, I'm yours no one else"

"I will try" He let's out a frustated sigh and I smile up to him. I just lean my head to his shoulder. And we just stare at the moon and stars for what feels like and eternity.
