Laura is still fast asleep on the couch. We have at least still two hours left to get to the bridge. I’m sure Laura’s friend will call any minute now. Let’s hope this time things go smoothly. I’m tired of f*****g surprises.
I packed our clothes, not that we had much, and the few things my mother gave us into the bag.
