Chapter 1
Jasmine POV[BW1]
I woke up on tied to a wooden chair and tape over my mouth. I try to see if I had any wiggle room to untie myself but there was no use. Whoever tied these knew exactly what they were doing. A million thoughts ran through my head.
The main one was why was I here and how the hell did I get here.
It was completely silent for about five minutes before a metal door opened to the side of me. A man walked in. He had tattoos covering his whole body. He looked familiar, but I was sure I hadn’t seen him before. He reminded me of someone.
He walked up to me and didn’t say a word. He circled me slowly like he was observing me then it was like a switched flipped in him.
That’s when I felt the first blow to the face. I tried to move my jaw, but I couldn’t feel the movement. He had knocked my jaw numb. He cracked his knuckles and punched me again. It was like he had something to prove.
He slapped me back and forth as blood flew out of my mouth.
I was barely taking all of his licks. I know my parents abused me mentally, but it never got like this. This was a different type of pain.
"Stupid b***h" He slapped me one more time with so much force than the chair flew over taking me with it. The wood from the chair scrapped my back hard from the force of hitting the floor.
He kicked me in the stomach multiple times as I choked up blood.
I whimpered quietly. I was weak and useless as he kept kicking. I wasn’t fighting him, so I didn’t understand why he was hurting me like this.
He finally stopped kicking and spit in my face.
I had never felt so degraded in my life.
"I'll be back later b***h so prepare for your next beating."
I chuckled harshly.
I thought my life was hard before this just puts the icing on the cake. How could I be kidnapped for god knows what and beaten like this. The one year I try to stand up for myself and be proud of who I am, I get knocked back down. I don’t know what I did to this man, but he’s very angry with me and apparently my father. As far as I knew my father was just a mechanic and alcoholic.
Life just has a funny way of f*****g you up.
I just wish someone would help me anybody.
Jay.
Jay's POV
I threw the lamp against the wall and watched it shatter. I’ve called every f*****g body, and nobody knows s**t. I only have a few contacts around here since we moved but someone should know something.
I already know Raheem did this s**t.
He's the only enemy I have.
He already tried to f*****g kill me and gave me a permanent limp and now he's kidnapped Jas. When I find his ass, it’s going to be hell to pay. I know Jas probably scared out of her mind, and to think the last time we saw each other we were fighting. Funny how life works.
This s**t has gone too far.
I looked at the wall staring into space.
Then something came to mind.
I picked up my phone and dialed a number I thought I would never have to.
Ring....Ring.... Ring....
"Black speaking."
"Dad I need your help."
There was a pause.
"Jay jay?"
"Yeah dad its me."
"Nigga why the hell have I lost track of you and your mother. It took all of my sanity to think that maybe you guys were in hiding."
"Ma took us off the grid after she killed some dude that was stalking us. I don’t remember right now what he was looking for. You know how she is...but dad that's not why I called I need your help to find somebody. "
"Who is this somebody? And I need to know everything."
"You remember Jas Dad..."
"Yeah the girl that got you p***y whipped without giving it to you."
"Really bruh this is serious man."
"Alright...Alright... I’m listening. "
"Somebody has kidnapped her, and I need your help finding her because nobody seems to know shit."
"What do you mean she's been kidnapped?"
"It’s a long story but you remember Raheem Delicarte. Our rivals. Well when we moved back, he and I got into a fight because he slapped Jas, I whooped his ass. Then he shot me, and I lived so now he's got Jas. Me and her weren’t on good terms when she disappeared, and I don’t want her to feel like I would ever leave her to fend for herself."
"What the f**k you mean he shot you? Yall just been keeping me in the f*****g dark knowing I’m supposed to protect yall while I’m away. Give me your mama number we got to have a talk and imma see if any of my niggas heard any s**t about that lil nigga Raheem. I know you did something so when we find Jas you better fix this s**t. Ian got time for yo mama shit."
"And what you want me to do?"
"Don’t do nothing I got this."
"I’m not finna sit here and do nothing he probably beating her half to death I already got a picture and the s**t looks like he is putting her through hell."
"Jasean Black you better calm the f**k down. You can’t help her if you are blowing up every time someone says something you don’t like. Listen to me clearly. I got this when you get a phone call just know. "
I took a deep breath.
"Aright dad I gotchu."
"Give me my lady number I been missing her."
"Maybe if you came home you wouldn’t be missing her."
"I told you 2 years you haven’t been keeping track have you."
"That was ten grade year... it’s my twelfth-grade yea..."
"I thought so lil nigga I suppose to come home sometime this month or next month. It looks like I’ll be coming home early since you and your mother got some explaining to do."
I laughed. "Aight dad I think you better hurry though ma got a new nigga. "
"Say what?"
I hung up the phone and shook my head.
I walked over to my bed and sat down.
I laid back and thought of when I gave Jas her promise ring fourth grade.
"Jasmine."
"Yeah Jay."
"I have a present for you."
"Owwe let me see..." she says jumping up and down grinning showing her dimples.
"Stand still girl."
"Okay ...okay..."
I got down on one knee in front of her.
She giggled. "Jay are you going to marry me?"
I looked up at her.
"One day I am but this is just to promise I will. "
I slid the small ban with a blue diamond on it onto her finger.
"Oowee its pretty and its blue."
"Yeah yeah I know your favorite color is blue."
"You're the bestest friend ever Jasean Black and I love you."
"I love you too Jasmine Lenard Black."
She giggled and hugged me.
