chapter 7 A PAINFUL PAST

Alex stepped out of the podium while Ella was still in shock because of the event that just happened

"Oh my gosh what does he mean"

her inner voice said.

During lunchtime, Ella went to the CEO office.

"Mr CEO. I'm here to thank you for clarifying my name"

"If you really mean to say thank you then do it sincerely"

Alex looked at Ella's figure for a split second.

Ella misunderstood his graze and immediately wrapped her hand on her shoulders saying

"I..I..I" Alex found her reaction amusing "Miss Ella, do you by chance think I have inappropriate thoughts about you"

Ella couldn't respond as she stared at the marble floor of the office silently.

The only noise that was heard was Alice chuckle softly

" Miss Ella I'm sorry to inform you but you are not my type."

Alex said with a playful smirk on his lips. When Ella heard that she was about to blow up as her cheek turned red immediately from embarrassment.

"Miss Ella you can thank me by moving in tomorrow as you promised"

Ella finally responded

"I will"

"You may leave"

That evening Ella began to pack her bag when she came across the last birthday gift her dad gave her on her 12th birthday.

Flashback

"Happy Birthday to you,Happy Birthday Happy Birthday to you"

Her dad and mom sang happily with her. "Here honey I got you a present"

" Really dad"

" yes dear"

Mr silver handed the wrapped present to her.

"Thank you Dad"

As unwrapped the present she found out it was a limited edition cotton unicorn.

"Oh my god Dad I always wanted this, you are the best dad ever" ella exclaimed as she hugged her dad.

" But dad, you didn't get me a cake" " "honey there is a heavy storm happening right now"

" I really want the cake, now"

Ella kept insisting on the cake

"Okay anything for my princess"

Mr silver took the car key from the table and drove out in the storm.

suddenly Mrs sliver phone rang

"Good I am calling from the marina hospital, Mr silver was rushed here minutes ago from a car accident, I am sorry but he couldn't sirvive pls come and claim the body"

"What"

Mrs sliver said trembling as her phone fell to the floor mom.

"mummy mummy,where is Daddy,why is Daddy not back yet" Mrs sliver couldn't respond as you sobbed heartbroken. when she got to the hospital, Mr silver was already covered with white cloth and was moved out of the operation room.

Mrs. Sliver couldn't control herself anymore and sobbed quietly. Ella was big enough to know that her dad was gone and won't be coming back

" It's my fault mom, I'm sorry mom, I shouldn't have requested for the cake" she said crying

After that, she took a relaxing shower and decided to write the contract for the deal signing of Alice
