"Yep that's why you are moving in with me" Ella paused for sometime as her mind wandered and her face was absolute horror.
"Move in with you no way I'm not moving in with you."
"Then I may have to fire you."
Ella could not respond as she needed the money to prove to her mom, she could take care of herself.
" your salary will be increased by 30%."
At this point Ella felt she was being bought with the money but who was she to reject extra salary even if it means keeping up with her arrogant boss.
"And also if you need a reason for moving in with me then here is one I am not paying for your transportation or your tardiness moving in with me to ensure you are available when I need you. it's a condition of employment if you want to keep your job." Alex stated seriously.
" Fine if you that is the only way I can keep my job" "and extra salary" her inner mind added
"Good when do you plan on moving in"
" I think it should be by the weekend"
When that was settled Ella decided to bring up the Hannah matter.
"Mr. CEO I think you may be aware that I was schemed against by a colleague I hope this matter will be addressed"
" I see, I will look into the matter and definitely give you an explanation"
"Thank you"
Alex decided to step out for a smoke when he came back, he saw Ella was asleep and she was whispering
"Dad Dad Dad I'm sorry I shouldn't have requested for the cake, it's all my fault"
When he saw this scene his heart ached as he smothered her by patting her hair and whispering
"It's all over now, go to sleep" the calmness in his voice calmed Ella and slept peacefully.
Alex stood in the shadow watching her he made a call
" Find out what happened to miss Ella's father"
" Yes CEO "
The next day the ray of sunlight shone directly on Ella's face disturbing her sleep as she stretched she was startled to see Alex in the hospital chair beside her holding her hand.
Stunned by the scene she immediately removes her hand in sheer shock that sudden movement woke Alex up
" Good morning Mr. CEO"
Alex didn't reply as he kept staring at his now empty hand.
After sometime he stood up straightened his suit and lazily ran his fingers through his hair setting the stary strands into places in a gesture so effortless.
"Good morning miss Ella"
And he walked away as if he didn't do anything.
Ella sat on the bed entirely motionless, surprised by his movement.
" was all that movement necessary does he have to be so hot" inner voice said hot did I just say he's hot again.
Soon after Alex returned with breakfast
" Here I don't want to hear rumors that I mistreated my workers" Alex said even though he didn't care about rumors or having a bad reputation
"Thank you Mr. CEO" she said with a stiff smile.
"I have cleared the hospital bill already" "thank you Mr CEO" she replied again still with a stiff smile.
They eat their breakfast in silent.after that she packed up and they left the hospital,he drove her home and throughout the journey they were just doing their thing, Alex dropped her when she got to the house she noticed that the door was unlocked.
" Mom Mom are you home "
"Yes dear how you doing"
" I am fine mom"
" Have you had dinner yet you look weak"
" Yes mom"
"That's good"
Ella noticed her mom was kind of tense so she asked
"Is there a problem mom you look so tense"
"I saw the car that dropped you off is he your boyfriend"
Boyfriend no way Ella imagines Alex being her boyfriend and she was unsettled by the idea of dating Alex
"Ewww no mom he's my boss"
"Darling why would your boss drop you off"
Ella was silent for a moment as she had to lie to her mom again.
"I couldn't get any cab so he offered to drop me up"
"oh I see, but you aren't getting younger you should....."
"I know get myself a boyfriend,we have had this discussion already I want to build my career first"
"okay fine I don't want to have an argument with you"
" Sure"
" Go take a shower I made your favorite,
Philadelphia cheesteak with Buffalo wings "
" oh my god mom just what I needed "
"Hurry go take a shower"
Ella smiled as she headed to her room to take a shower.
She kept the Hannah scheme a secret from her mom as she does not want her mom to worry about her.
After dinner Ella and her mom were having a snack and watching a movie when ella said
" I have something to tell you Mom"
" What is that sweetie"
" I'm planning on moving out mom"
" what why dear"
" I found an apartment near the office so it can be convenient to go to work"

" Mom I'm grown up now I can live alone" " oh not that honey I just feel the house might be a bit lonely without you"
" I promise to visit time to time"
" okay when do you plan on moving out" "this weekend "
"okay honey but if you ever need help don't hesitate to call me"
"thank you mom I love you"
"that's fine"
Ella did not tell her mom that she was moving in with her boss because her mom might be worried about her.
