Aurora

I was in the kitchen setting up the next tray of champagne to be brought to the guest when I was hit again with an amazing scent. Got it was like walking outside on a fresh spring day after the rain shower. It smelled like strawberries oak and gardenias. What was that smell? In my head Tala was going crazy “Tala what is it?” “I’m not sure but I think something good is about to happen!” I didn’t know what she meant until I turned around and saw the alpha princes staring at me and realized that was where that amazing smell as coming from and the word that came out their mouth floored me “mate” they said in unison, at the same time Tala was panting in my head yelling “MATE MATE MATE!!” “both of them!” and she laid on her back spreading her legs submitting for the Alpha Prince’s.

“yes both of them Aurora” horny wolf I didn’t know what to say or do I couldn’t go through another rejections so I just ran. I ran out the kitchen and straight to the back door past the stage setup for the ceremony and straight into the forest behind the pack house. Who was going to stop me? I mean really I was an outcast and omega the alpha prince’s would not want me after they hear about me and my past. This cannot be happening again!!! I cannot take another rejection! And from 2 mates this time my heart cannot take it I wouldn’t be able to survive.

As I came to a clearing in the woods I heard rustling all around me. Tala had her hackles raised she was on alert. “you hear that Tala, it feels like we are being watched, I cant smell anything but I can feel it, its like having ice on my neck” “yes Arora be on your guard something is off I just cant put my finger on it though”. Just then I went to start moving further into the forest to make it to the river further in when within a second a large grey wolf with black paws comes out of the clearing. S**T! that’s the same rogue that attacked us 3 years ago! “Tala why cant we smell him!?” “he Is masking his scent somehow, but we felt his presence which means our powers are working” I mind linked Jonas “Jonas HELP there is a rouge here he masked his smell somehow but he is the same one that attacked the Luna, my mom, and me 3 years ago!” Jonas was fast with the response “where are you princess? I am coming!!!” “I am at the back of the pack house about 2 miles away just before the river” “Im coming princess hold on! You know how to fight just remember what I taught you I will be there soon” with that the link was cut. I was staring at this wolf and then I noticed he did not come alone there were 4 others with him. “Tala what are you thinking!? We haven’t learned our new powers yet but we can still fight” “I am here we don’t need to fully shift ill be at the front with you and we can fight them together as we are bonded more than they know they don’t realize what they have started!” with that Tala growls out.

After that one of the smaller brown wolves jump towards me without a second thought I transformed my hands to my claws and ripped his throat out. Once this happened the other 3 attacked me. The leader was hanging back like he was watching and waiting for me to do something. The 3 surrounded me and were circling me. “Jonas where are you!? I have killed one but being circled by 3 more. The leader is hanging back he is a large grey wolf with black paws” Jonas linked back “I am almost there!” As I was mid linking with Jonas one of the wolves lunged at me seeing I was distracted. He caught my side with his claw and sliced down my arm and ribs all the way down to my thigh before I slid on the ground and let my claws go through his belly with their guts spilling out into the ground splashing blood all over me. Little do they know I am better at fighting than almost all she wolves and I am in no way the same young girl when they attacked me last. One rogue has his throat ripped out, one is laying back in human form with their stomach spilled over the ground dead, now onto the other two that are still circling me and the leader who still has not moved from his spot hidden in the trees watching this all go down. By the time the third one lunged at me Jonas and 5 other warriors had arrived the leader took off running but the other 2 rouges were killed almost instantly by the warriors ripping out their throats.

Jonas looked at me and his face paled “we need to get you to the pack hospital NOW!” I knew I would heal but Jonas was not to be messed with right now, as we went to walk I felt a burning pain coming from my wound and I doubled over. The pain shooting down my right side was excruciating. Jonas looked at me “what’s wrong aurora” “ I don’t know” I said. Then Tala was in my head “poison, they dipped their claws in venom that’s what you are feeling. I am trying to heal you but there is a lot of venom running through your system right now with the severity of the wound”. I looked at Jonas “its venom, the wolf who slashed me had venom on his claws, Tala said she is trying to heal me but it is taking a while due to trying to fight the venom out my system”. Jonas picked me up in his arms bridal style and started running to the pack hospital as fast as he can, he told his warriors to clean the mess up and report back once they were done. Jonas was upset that they didn’t keep at least one rogue alive to questions them but when he saw the state of Aurora and how she was bleeding his instincts took over and he couldn’t help it.
