Chapter 2

I finished the final and went to exit the school and long behold my brother Noah and future alpha Elias are standing at their cars talking with Charlotte and the ho gang. I tried to sneak past them as I was to meet Jonas in the clearing in 15 minutes but of course I was caught.

“If it isn’t the murder herself, what are you doing here!?” screamed Elias.

I bowed my head as he was the future alpha, this was done out of respect however as through the years I have noticed the alpha command does not work on me. Tala said to keep this a secret as no one knows how special we are, we haven’t even shifted in front of anyone other than Jonas as he wouldn’t tell a soul about us.

“I just finished my final alpha Elias I am headed back to the omega quarters now.” I lied. Noah just grunted and spit at me.

“Don’t forget that you will be serving at the pack house for the party in 3 days when the alpha king and his sons come for the transfer ceremony.” said Elias.

“And try not to smell so disgusting and look so gross we don’t want them to judge us based on YOU!” yelled my brother. I have no idea why my brother hates me so much we used to be best friends he knew me better than anyone else I just wished they would believe me about that night. I still don’t know how the rogues masked their scent.

As soon as I left them, I ran to the clearing where Jonas was already waiting for me. I was so upset that they have to have this ceremony on my birthday! They did that on purpose and I know they did. It's okay though I will of course stay with my head held high I have not let them see me cry since that morning I woke up in the hospital. After that, I would never give them the satisfaction.

In the clearing, Jonas immediately saw my face. As Tala was healing me it still took a couple hours for all the injuries to go away, Jonas was furious “This is b***s**t! How much longer do you have to take this abuse for something that wasn’t even your fault!”

I looked at Jonas, he believed me when I told him the story as Jonas’ mate was attacked and killed by rouges a few years back as she had mind linked him to tell him, when they got there there was no scent of rouges around but his mate would not lie, he just couldn’t figure out why there was no scent. Something more was going on, we just haven’t put the pieces together.

Jonas was a handsome man at 6’ 4” with golden blond hair and sky-blue eyes that could look into your soul. He was my best and closest friend.

‘Hey!” said Tala.

“You know I love you Tala, and you will forever be a part of me and my soul but I mean aside from you.” that made her happy and she purred in response. I laughed and Jonas looked at me.

“Tala.” he said and I just nodded. “Ok well let’s get started on your training I know we have been pushing harder but I have a feeling something big is about to happen I have this feeling and all I know is I need to make sure you are ready. I know you and Tala are special and that she has told you that you have abilities that will be coming soon. As we don’t know what they are yet we want to make sure you can handle anything in both wolf and human form” I nodded my head and Tala agreed.

We started to fight. Jonas never took it easy on me pushing me to the max. He was a mixed martial arts fighter and one of the best even won the ultimate fighting championships, I was definitely in great hands.

He came at me and I ducked under his punch as I ducked, I dropped down and swung out my leg to trip him. He saw it coming and jumped over to flip to the other side of me and had me in a headlock. I stepped on his foot with my right heel elbowed him in the gut and dropped tucking and rolling to my feet.

After that I went for him again this time, I faked for a punch to his stomach but I ended up doing a roundhouse to his head and he fell.

This went on for hours. After we finished in human form, we took to wolf. Tala was so excited. She loved whenever she and Nico got to fight.

Nico was Jonas’ wolf. He looked a lot like Nico with sandy blonde fur and golden eyes and he was large, almost as large as an alpha wolf.

Tala and Nico fought and twisted and turned throughout the next hour. As we were finally done with training we went running and we ran to a lake for Nico and Tala to get some water. It felt so good to run with Nico I loved that I had them in my life.

The next couple of days passed by quickly and it was the night before my birthday. Midnight I will be 18 and I will be able to find my mate.

The pack house was full of people as it is customary to have a party and host all the alphas and Lunas from surrounding packs the night prior to the ceremony. The alpha king and his twin sons, Elijah and Isaiah, will be here tomorrow. Of course, I will be spending my birthday by myself as I am not allowed to be in the pack house unless given permission and I was only given permission for the ceremony tomorrow.

As Jonas is one of the top warriors, he is there for protection so he will be working the whole night, meaning I will be spending my birthday with just me and Tala.

That’s ok though I love Tala and wouldn’t want it any other way.
