Chapter 15

Prince Elijah

I am walking with Jonas and we are headed to the omega quarters. In our pack we don’t treat the omegas any differently due to their rank. At the palace they are only allowed to work their once they reach the age of 18 and it is by choice, they also get paid. It is never forced on them but looking around it doesn’t seem like that is what is going on here. This is another thing we will need to investigate this further while we make our rounds with our father. We think everyone should be treated fair and equal no matter their rank.

We continued walking for about 10 minutes from the hospital and reached the omega quarters. I know I should be bothered with the fact that this man knows where my mates room is and has clearly been there before but I trust what they said. This is her protector and as a good one he made sure she was still around for us to find her and me and my brother owe him one for keeping her safe.

We get to the building so far so good no incidents have occurred maybe this will be an easy trip or maybe that will be just wishful thinking it is still early and that alpha is a hot head so i'm sure he is going to show his ugly head sooner or later I am just waiting to see when.

I look around the small room and I cant believe what I am seeing. There is a small twin bed in the corner, an end table and with 2 draws and a closet that has almost nothing in it. How could she have been a betas daughter and have nothing to her name. They didn’t let her have anything. There isn’t even a tv in here what kind of insane madness is this! I look over to Jonas who goes and grabs a gym bag from the bottom of the closet and started to pack the clothes from the closet. There wasn’t much there at a glance I saw about 3 pairs of jeans a hand full of shirts and looked like 2 sun dresses. I went to the side table and started looking for the box that Aurora asked me to grab. I opened up the top draw and i didn't see anything there, i opened up the bottom draw and there was nothing their either. She definitely said it would be in the side table. I sat there a little confused and I looked a little closer and saw that the draw had a false bottom. I found a little hole in the back and lifted it up and there i found the box. This must really mean allot for her to even have to hide it in her own room. What did she go through that even her room was not safe to keep her most precious items. I was able to find it and opened it and confirmed that the necklace was in there. It was such a unique design there was a stone inside that looked like It would be a ruby but it wasn’t it was inside of a clasp in the shape of an oval on a silver chain. I touched it and it burned…why would she have a chain with silver when silver harms us, does she actually wear this? How does it not harm her?

I didn’t think about it any further. For now I will ask her about it later and hope she will know what the stones and tell me why it was so important. I know Jonas told us she was someone special and she would have to tell us in her own time maybe this is something I will have to wait for her to tell me. I grabbed the box and added it to the bag Jonas had finished packing he has already grabbed her toothbrush, hairbrush, and body wash from the bathroom while I was in my own world about the necklace. “Do you think she will want anything else out of here?” I asked Jonas “No Prince Elijah I think she will be happy to never see any of this stuff every again” I nodded my head “Jonas when it is just us you do not have to use my title. I know it’s a sign of respect but to be honest we should be thanking you for keeping her alive until we were able to meet her. Me and my brother will love her for the rest of our lives and try to make up for the hell that she has been through the last 3 years here. I just hope she will learn to trust us and open up to us.” Jonas gave me a look like you would expect from a father. His was looking at me and considering his next words after about a minute he spoke “With all do respect Elijah I hope you do everything you say. I love her like she is my daughter and I will always protect her and that will include from you and your brother if you try to harm her. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt as I have had a mate I know how that bond feels and I know you would love and protect her with your life. But please know if you mess up in a way that will harm her or break her I will step in and you will never see her again.” I looked at him and this was a speech I would assume to have from a father but this is the man that will be coming with us to be here gamma and protect her. I looked at him in disbelief he really just said that to me a prince her mate did he really think he could take her away from me. I started to feel my anger rise and then I thought about what he actually said. He was doing his job and protecting her. I can respect that as her mate I would want someone who would protect her with their life and that is what Jonas is doing. “Thank you Jonas, me and my brother will never harm her at least never intentionally. I appreciate that she has someone else to look after her if me and my brother cant. But please know we will never hurt her and she will never leave us. We already love her and we understand she has had a rough go of it and we will take it at her pace to earn her trust, but she will never be taken from us not by anyone.” Jonas smirked at this I guess I passed his test. “Ok Prince Elijah I think its time to head back to the hospital now we have everything that she would want and I think the faster we get out of here the better. We got lucky not running into Alpha Elias on the way here but I think we are definitely running out of luck the longer we stay here” I smirk I am not worried about this little alpha and his tantrums. Me and my brother will deal with him soon enough. “Ok Jonas we still need to stop at the pack house and grab my father before we head back to the hospital but we can make it fast I will mind link him to meet us out front of the pack house so we do not have to go in and risk seeing that child that they call an Alpha” Jonas smirks at that last comment and nods his head and we head out of this sad excuse of a room. I cannot wait to get my princess home and to a real room dn get her everything she will ever need. She will never be treated this was or go through this again. I mind link my dad "Hey dad can you meet me in the front of the pack house. Me and Isiaha have someone we would like you to meet, and we have some things to discuss with you" "Yes son I will meet you out front in 5. Where are you now?" "I am finishing up in the omega quarters I will explain everything once I see you. there is alot that has happened and we need to talk about a few things" "Sure son is everything ok?" I can here the concern in my dads voice "Yeah dad, just alot has happened and we got more information about the rogue attacks and we definitely need to talk about this Alpha we just corinated" "Ok son as long as you and your brother are ok we can discuss all of this once we are together I will be waiting for you in the front of the pack house"

With that i turned to Jonas "Ok dad will be out front waiting for us and we will head straight to the hospital. Let's get going so we can leave this place".
