Chapter 20
I didn’t hear from Mike that night or at all the next day. By Sunday evening I was going crazy worrying about what was going on. I sent him a quick text asking if everyone was okay. He said the two guys were released from the hospital, but he was swamped at work with the changes they were trying to implement around training and extra safety procedures.
Monday the plant was buzzing with the news from the weekend. I listened to the gossip and heard what everyone was saying. I didn’t offer any input on the situation since I wasn’t there and no one knew I had heard anything about it before Monday.
Things calmed down some on Tuesday and for the most part the plant was back to normal. Wednesday was the day before the start of my kaizen, and I had my interview that afternoon.
