Luke snorted, no doubt thinking about something outside work. I didn’t look at him but knew my cheeks were heating. Mike shot him a death look, which Luke ignored. Stephanie said, “If you feel you coached or mentored Mike then it’s a perfectly good example.”
I nodded, knowing they needed more details. “Well, when we started working on the X-7L kaizen last year you didn’t know much about Lean Manufacturing. It was still a fairly new concept with EAAC. Once Gary decided on that kaizen we met weekly to discuss the details of what a kaizen is, how it would be run, and exactly what we would accomplish. I helped you to see improvement in a different way, accepting that there are times we need to shut down in order to increase production.”
