Chapter 7 Addi called a few minutes after Mike hung up. I put on a brave front, but I didn’t really feel like going out anymore. I knew I needed it though. Getting out of the house was a better idea than throwing myself a pity party. I finally pulled on a pair of fitted jeans and a dark purple sweater. I looked good even though I didn’t really feel good. But no one had to know that. Addi and Sam pulled up in front of my townhouse and I ran outside. Charlie was already in the back of Addi’s car with Sam up front. “Thanks for going out tonight, guys. I need this,” I said as I climbed in. “Sorry my car’s so small,” Addi said. “No worries.
