Beneath the heat

The moment Sasha Hart stepped off the boat and onto the sun-drenched dock of Isla Corazón, she knew two things: 1. This was the most breathtaking place she’d ever seen. 2. And she was completely, dangerously out of her element. Towering palms swayed overhead. Waves lapped gently at the sand. The scent of saltwater and hibiscus clung to the breeze. She adjusted her sunglasses and checked her phone for the itinerary—three weddings, six events, all in ten chaotic, overbooked days. Perfect. Just how she liked it. What she didn’t like was being told the groom’s billionaire brother had “taken over” some of the planning. Sasha didn’t work well with interference. She barely had time to sigh before she heard a low voice behind her. “Is the chaos-bringer finally here?” She turned—and froze. He was tall, lean, sun-kissed. A shadow of stubble lined his jaw. His dark hair curled slightly from the humidity. But it was his eyes—silver-gray, amused, dangerous—that made her breath hitch. “Julian Wolfe,” he said, extending a hand. “Brother of the groom. Local annoyance. And apparently… your co-planner.” Sasha narrowed her eyes, refusing to show how attractive she found him. “Sasha Hart. Professional chaos manager.
