THE LAMP, MORAL STORY

A flock of sheep always went out together to the green meadow for grazing grass. The sheep were brought out in the morning and were taken back in the sunset. The shephered followed them and watched them graze. One such day, a little lamb strayed away from the flock as it grazed tall grass. Avwolf was watching this hiding behind a bush! His mouth started watering as he wanted to eat the lamb. As soon as the lamb was within his reach, the wolf pounced uponbhim and pulledvhim in the bushes. The poor lamb tried to free himself from the wolf but couldbnot as the wolf held him tight with his paws. He quickly thought of a plan and said, ""l know I am going to be dead soon but I have a small last wish. Please be kind to me and grant me my wish." The wolf got curious amd asked, "What is your last wish?" In an innocent voice the lamb replied, "I love listening to songs and my fellow friends told me that you sing beautifully. This has always been my wish to listen to a song from you. Before you kill me, will you please sing a song for me?"The wolf agreed and sang a song aloud. When the wolf stopped singing, the lamb said, "What a beautyfull voice you have! I wish you could sing-just one more song for me. "The lamb clapped in appreciation the wolf's song. Nobody had ever praised the wolf's voice earlier. Hearing the accolades from the lamb,the wolf felt very happy. He started to sing at the top of his voice. The sheep and the shepherd were looking for the missing lamb. When they heard the wolf singing, they surrounded the bush from all the sides. The shepherd went inside the bushes and hit the wolf with his stick. The sheep too got together and pounced on the wof. The wolf was hurt and his energy had been lost. He ran away as the lamb rushed to his flock. MORAL:- A little intelligence can be of great help in times of trouble.
