Armageddon: Defying Fate

Episode 17

Instructor Adam demonstrated a couple of punches and kicks casually, but something strange seemed to happen to his body anytime he threw the punches or kicks.

His hands would enlarge by a little with vein patterns visibly showing in the arm when he threw a punch also whenever he threw a kick, his leg would also get muscular and a bit bigger than it normally was,

Kiran and the other two students, were amazed when they saw this scene, they could not understand how his body parts got larger and stronger whenever he attacked.

"This is the right way body evolutionist fight, we as body evolutionist have perfect control of our body, we can morphe the body the way we want, when attacking we can strengthen the part of our body that does the attack, by drawing the trapped energy inside our body to that particular part of the body that does the attack, similarly when defending we can strengthen the parts of the body that is also about to be attacked"

"When you fought the tiger if you had strengthened your legs, and your and your hands, you wouldn't have been sent flying when you attacked the tiger, and you would have put up some fight" Adam explained.

"All the evolved monsters you all fought during the exams were not as strong as they are in real life, their strength had been decreased, the tiger you thought was at the 7th level basic evolution, can barely be called a 6th level evolution monster with the strength it displaced, and that is true for all the beast you all fought in the exam"

The two students and Kiran were surprised, the evolved monsters they fought were not at full strength.

"Evolved monsters also have innate techniques, unique to them some of the techniques we human use were gotten by observing and studying evolved monsters techniques, but none of the monsters you all fought used a technique, without techniques the monsters is almost a level weaker, sometimes more"

The students were amazed by the new information they had just learned,

"Instructor Adam how can we control our body, like you just did," one of the students asked with expectation in his eyes

All the students including Kiran all wanted to know how to do it too,

"There is a technique in the school's store in the commercial district, called the body manual, it explains how you can perfectly control every part of your body, as body evolutionist."

"The commercial district, are we going to pay?"

" well, you didn't think it was going to be free did you, let me tell you something, nothing in the Academy is free"

Instructor Adam explained other things to the students, and as their classes were about to end, Kiran tried deciphering Adam's strength but was surprised, he felt like he had hit a bolder, and immediately he felt some headache.

"That's a little punishment for you, it's rude to use your energy sense on people without permission"

"Energy sense, that what it called" Kiran had always used his energy sense but, had never known what it was called,

" I guess you have always used your energy sense on people without ever feeling the reaction you felt today right?, it was because they considered you a friend, and never tried stopping you, if someone is overly stronger than you, he could stop your spying, or even hurt you just like I just did"

" and also if someone is overly stronger than you, they could intrude and spy on you, without you being able to do anything to them or stop them, let me show you"

Adam extended his sense to Kiran's body, and immediately a shout escaped from his mouth "what?"

"Boy quickly comes over here" Kiran didn't understand what had happened but quickly walked towards the instructor.

When Kiran was in front of Adam, Adam quickly sent his energy sense into Kiran's body to check his entire body. And just like before he was amazed at what he saw, energy was circulating inside Kiran's body, he sent his energy sense further and he could see, energy trapped inside Kirans body and inside his bones, which meant he was a dual body and energy evolutionist, he breath quickened as he thought of what it meant to be a dual body and energy evolutionist.

"Maybe we humans might have hope after all"

Kiran was surprised as he saw the instructor lost in thought.

"Boy, why didn't you tell me, you were a dual body and energy evolutionist"

"Tell him!", Kiran didn't even think about it, anyone could tell, instructor Adam had something against energy evolutionists.

Adam looked at Kiran in understanding

" you are a monster kid, you should train very hard, a lot of things depend on you"

Kiran didn't understand what the instructor meant,

"This is the end of our class, you can all go now," Adam said, he could not wait for the students to leave, he had to tell the Academy what he just found out.

Kiran and the other students left the class, Kiran was trying to decipher what Adam said at the end, but couldn't.

Kiran quickly went back to his room, he had a class the next day and had to prepare.

After the students left, Adam quickly left too, he came to a house at the back of the Academy, the house was designed in the form of ancient Chinese houses,

"Adam, it's rare for you to come to visit me here, so what's the problem this time,"

An old man could be seen tending to flowers in the garden, beside the house."

"There is a new kid called Kiran Hamza, who just entered the Academy, and is a dual body and energy evolutionist"

"What did you say" the old man dropped the watering can in his hands in surprise.

"Are sure about what you just said"

"Yes, I checked it myself"

"Hahahahahahahah, finally a miracle has appeared for us humans," the man said as a tear fell from his eyes.

"Who else knows about this"

"Am not sure, but I just found out now, I don't think anyone in the Academy knows yet"

"That's good, lock down the Academy, no information is to leak out until the boy graduates"

"Where does the boy come from"

"He came from the bureau"

"That good, am sure the bureau will lock down information on the boy on their end, no wonder the director said he was sending me a gift"

"You said the boy's name was Kiran Hamza right?"

"Hamza...... Is it that man"

"Do you think he is that man's son?" Adam asked?

"What the color of his eyes"

"Yes his eyes were strange, they were colored Aurora"

"Then he is that man's son" the old man replied,

"Adam we have to protect the boy at all cost, but don't interfere with anything he does in the Academy"

"Quickly go and inform the others"

Adam quickly left, the old man smiled, and continued tending to his flowers, but this time with more care.

The next day, Kiran received a notice from his transponder about his next class, the class he had today was the energy evolution class.

Kiran was excited when he saw that, yesterday he had learned a lot of things from instructor Adam, he could not wait to see what he would learn today.

Energy evolution class, compared to instructor Adam's class this one was smaller with less equipment, and he seem to be the only one here,

"The others must have been late". he thought.

"You are Kiran?"

A calm voice came over, Kiran looked forward, and a handsome elegant man was looking back at him.

The man looked calm and cold, with little emotion showing on his face, he was the opposite of the rough and amiable instructor Adam.

"Yes sir, I am Kiran Hamza, here to partake in the evolution class"

"Sit, you can call me instructor Alex"

Kiran sat down, but then immediately felt an energy sense scanning his body, the energy sense was so strong that he could not stop it.

"That brute was not wrong, you are a dual body and energy evolutionist,"

When Kiran heard the word this brute he thought about instructor Adam,

"This two must have something against each other, one was calling the other 'sissy' while the other calling him 'brute' " Kiran thought.

"Am sure they would have taught you, what energy evolution is in the bureau, I heard vice-captain James was one of the people who taught you"

"Yes, instructor,"

"I will just add a little to what he taught, I saw that you have mastered his two techniques, the fast sword, and the dragon strike"

Kiran was surprised, instructor Alex knew the names of the technique.

"Are you surprised I know your techniques, James was once my student"

Kiran now understood, how instructor Alex knew the techniques.

" you have mastered the techniques, but you are too slow in executing them,"

"Look at this"

Alex brought out a sword from his spatial ring, and before Kiran noticed anything, Alex had made a s***h, the sword strike was so fast, Kiran noticed both fast sword and dragon strike inside that s***h but it was so fast that he barely believed Alex circulated any energy at all,

"My energy circulation is this fast, not because am stronger than you, but because of my method of energy circulation, this method of circulation stores energy in your veins, so whenever you need it for a technique, you don't need to start drawing in energy from the surroundings, this fixes the flaw in the energy evolution"

"With this, you would not be suppressed by all those brutes, oh I forgot you are a half brute yourself," Alex said in disdain.

Kiran was left stunned by what Alex said, "what with these instructors and their hate for each others profession," he thought in his mind

"Or do you also think energy evolutionists are also sissies," Alex said looking into Kirans eyes.

"No, no, ...., no," Kiran said with sweat dripping from his head

"That good" Alex said smiling.

This was the first time Kiran had seen emotion in the instructor's face, the way he smiled was strange as if he was going to kill him after the smile.

"Humans are higher beings why should we degrade ourselves fighting evolved monsters with our bodies, that's just plain stupid and inelegant," Alex said.

Kiran said yes shaking his head, the last thing he wanted was to disagree with the man.

Alex brought out a ring, and threw it to Kiran,

"This is an energy sense blocker, it blocks energy sense from scanning your body, it can also be used as a spatial ring"

Kiran caught the ring, put it on his finger, he felt as if an energy barrier had been created all around his body.

"You should wear it all the time, with that ring, the number of humans who can bypass the barrier and scan your body is not more than two"

Kiran didn't understand why the instructor had given him the ring.

"The reason why I am giving you the ring is that no one must know that you are a dual body and energy evolutionist, you might die if it gets out"

Kiran was surprised when he heard that, he had always thought his dual body and energy evolution was just a bit abnormal, they did not tell him anything in the bureau, the only thing he could remember was that, whenever he used the training room in the bureau, others would be forbidden from entering apart from the captain and his vice, he had always thought it was standard procedure, it probably only happened when he was training.

"And since u went to that brute's class first now you are stocked with only been a body evolutionist, you can only use body evolution in the open, you can use energy circulation, but make sure no one notices your energy circulation, and u can only use energy techniques that, do not expose your energy circulation, you can still use your fast sword and dragon strike, as they do not expose circulation if u can circulate energy fast enough"

"If you had come to my class first and not that's brute's you wouldn't have to fight like an Animal but....well you made your choice"

Kiran could now understand why the instructor looked pissed at him.

"I can no longer use energy circulation in the open, that means my strength will decrease," Kiran thought bitterly.

"Instructor Alex can I ask why I have to hide being a dual body and energy evolutionist," Kiran asked

"That involves too many things, you are not privileged to know right now, you are too weak, if you want to know more get stronger" Alex answered

Kiran clenched his fists, made a new resolution to train like mad until he became stronger.

"That's the spirit," Alex said looking at Kiran

"This is the end of our class, the technique for fast circulation is called, quick circulation manual, you can find it in the commercial district"

Kiran stood up, and started walking out of the class,

"Kid train and get stronger faster, All hope depends on you," Alex said in his mind as Kiran walked out.
