Tournament Tasks

The sun light, escaped and shine through Kiran's balcony and then landed on his face, his bed was situated directly facing the balcony, as the light shone on his face, he woke up from sleep.

He yawned and stretched his hands, he could feel all the tiredness he had felt yesterday was all gone.

Yesterday had been a tiring day, but a very fruitful day also, he had gained 5 overpowered abilities, that had increased his strength tremendously.

It was almost time for the tournament between the new students and the old, he was in the 7th level of basic evolution and had 5 overpowered abilities, so he was no longer afraid of the tournament, with his abilities and strength few of the new students would be able to beat him.

But in other to improve his chances of competing with the old students, he wanted to get his level to the 8 or even the 9th level before the tournament, commenced.

Even though he had just woken up, he didn't have time to rest, he quickly went to take his bath and freshened up, he had prepared to go to instructor Yama lab today, it's been a while he had been there, he wanted to use the lab to make evolutional liquid so he could quickly breakthrough.

So once again he made his way to the instructor's quarters, and just like before he faced the same ordeal while entering the instructor's quarters. He could not breathe until the A.i had finished scanning him.

After he was done with the A. I which inspected all personnel that entered the instructor's quarters, he finally made his way to instructor Yama's quarters.

"I was beginning to think, you were not coming back here again"

A voice came as Kiran was about to knock on the door.

Kiran knew he should have gone back to see the instructor after healing himself, the instructor had been the one who gave him to a drug that got him healed.

but he had forgotten that the instructor had told him to report to the lab after he felt better.

He unlocked the door using the handle, and instructor Yama was right after the door.

"I am sorry sir, I had trained too much and had forgotten about what you said"

"I can see you are doing better now, next time always adhere to instructions when learning new techniques"

The instructor said, walking back into his lab.

"Are you not coming "

Kiran quickly followed the instructor inside the lab as he heard the voice.

"Evolution liquid experiments are very crucial and need constant practicing to create better drugs, I can see that you use most of your time fighting and training, and have completely neglected practicing how to make evolutionary liquid"

Kiran didn't know how to answer the instructor, for the past weeks he had neglected practicing making evolutionary liquid, he was actually more interested in increasing his strength, he had only learned to make evolutionary liquid to solve his points crisis.

"Today you are going to be here with me, all day practicing"

Kiran was left speechless by what the instructor had said, he had planned to quickly make evolutionary liquid, so he could go back and take them, so he would breakthrough, but now the instructor was planning to keep him here all day.

And so Kiran and instructor Yama practiced all day making evolutionary liquid,

Kiran had even started to learn how to make intermediate evolutionary liquid, only his strength was baring him from Making one, the instructor had said he had to reach the junior evolution realm In other to make the intermediate evolutionary energy.

Weeks passed by and Kiran had maintained the same routine, he would always go to instructor Yama's place for half a day before he could go where ever else he wanted, he had made a lot of evolutionary liquid during this time, he had taken some and had reached the 8th level of basic evolution realm, and was just a step away from reaching the 9th level of basic evolution realm.

He had also sold a lot of evolutional liquid to the new student, using the same method he had used before, this had caused the general strength of the new students to increase, almost catching up to the new students,

The old students had got wind of what was happening and some of them had approached Kiran to buy evolutionary liquid from him, but he had refused them, he was not going to make them stronger since most of them would be his opponents during the tournament, this has caused Kiran's reputation from the old students to hit an all-time low, most of the old students hated him now, and could not wait to deal with him.

It was now two days till the commencement of the tournament, Kiran was ready and prepared for it, he had trained and practiced all through the month for this particular event.

Though he was prepared for the tournament he could not help but think about his fellow new students, who will join the tournament.

Even though he had sold some evolutional liquid to them at cheap prices and they have generally gotten stronger, they were still weaker than the old students, why would they join a tournament when the result will be them getting their asses whooped, he did not think any normal person would join if given the right to either join or not join.

The tournament was a way for the academy to stimulate their student to train harder and get stronger faster, but he did not know if their plan was going to work, because he had seen the expression from most new students, they did not have any plan of joining the tournament.

As Kiran was still lost in thought, a notification appeared in front of his face from the transponder, normally a notification will only override the transponder settings and appear on announced to his face this way when it was an important message been passed by the Academy.

"New task has been assigned to the new students by the Academy"

Defeat an old student in the monthly tournament.

Reward: 1000 task points

Register for the tournament and fight an old student.

Reward:500 task points

The highest number of wins in the tournament (new students)

Reward:2000 task points.

The highest number of wins in the tournament (all students)

Reward:5000 task points

The subsequent highest number of wins in the tournament apart from the first up till the last.

Reward:2000 points starting from the second-highest number of wins, with a 20 points deduction in each rank downwards until the last person

As Kiran saw the notification sure enough the Academy was trying to entice the students once again, he had thought the new students would not join the monthly tournament, but after this notification, he was sure all the new students would join the tournament.

The Academy gave 500 task points for registering and fighting old students, they did not have to win, they just needed to show up, and they would get 500 points, it was literarily the easiest task in the Academy, 500 task points was enough to buy the normal basic evolutionary liquid, some of the new students had not made enough points yet to buy an evolutionary liquid, they were surely not going to miss this opportunity, of making easy points.

But was it really easy points, he was sure the old students were not going to easily allow the new students to give up after initiating a fight, most of the new students would still be left beaten up by the old students?

And for some of the students who could defeat the old students, there was more reward for them, a 1000 task points for defeating an old student, 500 task points for registering for the tournament and lastly there was the reward for the highest number of wins in the tournaments, which had a 20 points decrease downward after the first person, the students who could defeat the old students were not that much, so they would get good points for that task too.

The most ridiculous task there was the task for new students to have the highest number of wins in the entire tournament counting both the new students and the old, a whopping 5000 points reward, though he was not sure anyone could get that task though, even though his strength had increased, he was sure he could not defeat all the old students, there was no hope any new students could get the reward.

After checking out all the tasks, Kiran could not help but wonder what kind of tasks the old students got, they definitely must have also gotten tasks, no one would waste his time fighting new students if they would not get anything from it.

As Kiran was here thinking about the task the new students just received.

In a room few meters away from Kiran, an old student was there training the new technique he had just bought, he stretched his hands in a fast-paced motion, delivering an instance of an attack, he had been training since morning trying to master this new technique he had bought.

As he made another strike following his new technique, he could feel it resembling the drawing on the manual he had bought, Sam finally stopped training, sweat could be seen covering his entire face, he had reached the 9th level of basic evolution about a week ago, and though he had become one of the strongest students in the Academy until he trained with Kiran, the boy's strength had explosively increased, Sam was always beaten whenever they fought.

His penetrating ability was even harmless now to Kiran because he had to get in contact with Kiran in other to injure him using it, but Kiran elemental energy gave him a protective cover against that, Sam had to seriously injure himself before he could injure Kiran, and he was not ready to do that, the light flames surrounding Kiran we're too deadly.

"Just a little bit and I will perfect this technique". He had bought this technique in other to make himself stronger, the attack was able to extend away from his body to hit a target, this attack would fix his deficiency of close combat.

As he was about to continue, when a notification appeared in front of his face from his transponder.

" the same tasks again" he laughed as he saw the content of the tasks, he could remember when he was also a new student, back then the old student had also received the same task, the task was the same nothing was changed, though he took special note of the task at the very front.

Defeat 10 new students at a time

The tasks given to the old students were harder than the ones for the new students, they had to defeat 10 students without resting before they could even get any points at all.

This looked unfair, but the old students had been in the Academy before the new students and should naturally be stronger than the new students, it would be pointless if the task was just defeating a student, but since the academy made it this strict, the old student would have to fight with everything they had to defeat 10 new students one after the other.

He could remember during their own time, the old students had boasted of easily beating all of them during the tournaments, but most of them had gotten badly beaten after being besieged by the new students.

And this time around the new students was really strong, there was Kiran, Airra, and even Jiang Zhi, he could not help but admit all of them were geniuses, that we were already strong as the old student,

"Hahahha. The tournament this time around is going to be a blast" Sam laughed as he thought.

The entire Academy was full of buzz, as they all viewed the notification, the new students were excited as they saw the task, all of them could easily get 500 task points as long as they registered and appeared in the fight.

The old students were the ones lamenting as the Academy had not changed any of its tasks for the tournament, they had expected the Academy to change the task, as it was too hard on them. They had forgotten that was the same task given to the old students when they were the new students.
