Challenged

As Kiran walked back to the student quarters, he could not find any students on his way,

Sam, smiled, "I received a task from the Academy to challenge one of the new students, I found out you took first in the entrance exams, which makes you the best target, we have met yesterday so need for further introduction,"

Kiran was left speechless, he had become a target for someone else's Task in the Academy, this was too weird how could the Academy make something like this a task,

"Well since it's your task I have a right to decline right?" He knew he wasn't a match for Sam, and Sam also knew it, he was just trying to bully him.

"Of course, you can decline the challenge, but as the first in the exams if even you don't even dare to fight the old student, how do you think the other new student will feel, you should lead by example and give them hope," Sam said smiling evilly,

"Every year, there is a task assigned by the Academy to defeat the person ranked first among the new students, and you would get task points if you succeeded, correspondingly the student ranked first would also get task point if he defeated the old student"

But this was unfair to the new student, some of them had not made any task point, and they were the ones that desperately wanted to watch this match, they all wanted to know how strong the old students were.

"Isn't it too much for the academy to do this?" he said looking at Sam

"Who said it was done by the academy"

Kiran was speeches, so this was done by the old students, he could not believe they were this shameless,

The person who did this was going to rake points, just by showing students the match.

"You guys are so sly, am sure you are in cahoots with the person who did this?"

Sam said laughing "me, how could I do something like this"

The point he would get in his task was far more than he would get in the video of the match, the task points from the video would be huge but it would be shared between himself and another student, after sharing the point, the points he would make would not be up to the one he would get from the task,

Kiran had expected he would decline, so he said what he had already prepared

" how about you guys give me 50% of the points gotten from the video"

Sam was speechless this kid was ruthless,

Normally the deal he made with the student recording the fight, was to get 20% of the task points gotten, while the student took 80 percent, but now Kiran was asking for 50%, which would only beave the other 50% to them.

The Academy did this to train the students, outside the Academy was the land of evolved monsters, and the students would have to go out and fight them one day, they had to become used to killing, because outside in the wilderness was the land of death, you either kill or be killed, This was why the virtual environment was created.

Kiran and Sam entered the building, unlike the virtual room in the bureau there was no one inside the sparring building, the only thing there were virtual capsules, the student all knew how to use them, so they were no need to put anyone here.
