Strong Opponent

Kiran cleaned the blood on his sword before putting it into his spatial ring, he looked back at the dead body of the old student he has just decapitated watching it disappear from the virtual environment.

The old student had been happy after the aurora color energy in his spear had disappeared, but how could he have known one of Kiran's elemental abilities was blink, Kiran had covered the distance of 50 meters between himself and the old student in an instance, decapitating the old student in a single strike, catching him unaware.

After Killing the student, Kiran sat nearby meditating trying to recover his energy and also waiting for Leo.

A few minutes later Leo arrived at the scene, a little confused, he did not see the old student and also did not see any sign of struggle but only saw Titan sitting nearby meditating.

Kiran had opened his eyes, as he had already sensed the presence of Leo.

"Where's the old student"

"He is gone"

"Did he escape"

"No, I killed him"

"Are you serious"

"Yes, after using blink, he didn't even see me coming before I took off his head"

Leo let out a cold shudder as he thought of the scene of Kiran decapitating the old student.

"Damm why do you always like killing people through the neck"

Another shudder ran through Leo's body when he heard that.

"This is your share of the points," Kiran said transferring a half-point to Leo

It has been about 6 hours now into the tournament and it was already going on its last hours, the points were 90 points for the old student while the new students had 25 points, all in all, the old students still had higher points than the new students, but this time the new student had set a new record for the academy, The new student had never scored more than 20 points before in their first tournaments before.

During the time the present old students were new, they had scored 20 points during their first tournament, setting a record, but now these present students had broken the former record and set a new record of their own.

Inside the virtual control room, the vice principal and other instructors were all smiling, as they looked at the screen showing the points.

The new students this year had outperformed last year's students, meaning they were more geniuses among them, now they could hold their head high, whenever they met the other Academies.

Kiran and Leo had met and killed 4 more students and it was almost time for the tournament to end, they were oblivious that all their actions were actually been watched by the vice-principal and other instructors, their group was one of the only new students that remained in the tournament,

Kiran and Leo were still searching for more students to kill, in other to get points, when Kiran suddenly stopped when they entered a region of the forest that was heavily covered by thick branches having large leaves.

"What is it Kiran"

Leo asked walking toward the place

"Stop moving"

A muffled sound was heard some meters away from them,

"Quickly leave now"

Kiran said beckoning Leo to leave the place.

Leo was quick to understand what was happening, and quickly started running on the opposite side, Kiran himself quickly followed Leo, running in the same direction.

A minute after they left, 5 old students appeared exactly where they were.

The person at the front of the group of five old students looked exactly at where Kiran had stood.

"Chase them, they should not have gotten that far"

The other students followed his command, and then quickly went after the direction Kiran and Leo had taken.

Kiran would have been able to outrun them by himself, but he was together with Leo, he could not leave him here all by himself.

As they ran, Kiran took careful notice of the surrounding, they was an under bush located at the bottom of a giant tree, he pulled Leo by the shoulder and they quickly hid in that under Bush, they held their breaths, and laid down still, a minute later, the old student came rushing past them, unaware they had hidden there.

After the old student passed, Leo and Kiran were finally able to breathe well again.

"How did you know they were students there"

"I sensed massive elemental energy coming from one of the students, immediately I reached that place, although I was able to detect him, he also detected where I was after that"

"He has the highest elemental energy I have seen, he is probably already in the junior evolution realm"

The moment he came to the tree with the under bushes where Kiran and Leo were hidden, both of them jumped out from below the tree, both attacking the student, they had thrown all they had towards the student because they had found out he had an elemental eye ability, they had to quickly kill him before he called the other students.

The sound of their attack echoed through the surrounding forest and was noticed by the old student leading their group.

"They are back there, quickly follow me"

Inside the virtual control room inside the Academy

"This is probably the end of Kiran duo"

The vice-principal said looking at the screen, as he saw the leading student running towards the direction of Kiran.

"Maybe they would pull a miracle" Adam Smith the body evolution instructor said hoping Kiran would succeed.

Both the weapon belonging to both Kiran and Leo came crashing, towards the student who had found them, the student panicked as he saw the attacks coming from nowhere, now he regretted why he came here all by himself, he didn't expect he would come under attack the moment the found the old student.

The attacks landed on his body and he was sent flying, he threw out blood from his mouth, he had been seriously injured by that attack.

Kiran rushed towards the student seeing as he had not killed him in the first attack, as he was about to reach the student, he suddenly saw elemental energy rushing out of the student and covering the student's entire body, in a material that looked like a diamond.

"Dammit" Kiran regretted why he didn't use a stronger technique to quickly kill the student, he had not reached the old student but he could see that the elemental ability the student had used was one for defense.

He reached where the student was, he made a strike with his sword but the shield-like elemental energy covering the old student would not budge even a little, Leo also attacked with all his strength, but it was still the same, Kiran activated his aurora colored elemental energy covering his entire sword, and then made several attacks at the shield, though it did not c***k, his aurora color energy had covered the entire shield and was slowly eating it away.

As Kiran was about to continue attacking, he heard footsteps coming near them

"Leo, quickly keep attacking, the shield is been continuously weakened by my elemental energy, it will soon break"

"Where are you going"

"There's an old student quickly coming here"

Kiran said, quickly rushing towards the student coming to bear them.

Kiran had not expected they would meet with someone with a strange elemental ability like the old student with the shield, he had already calculated they would easily kill the student, and then go back to hiding again, but their plan had been spoiled from not anticipating an ability like the shield.

As he rushed towards the student coming towards their way, he could see the student quickly rushing forward, the student had already noticed the condition of his colleague and was probably rushing to help him.

As Kiran was rushing towards the student, he quickly willed his elemental energy towards his brain, enabling his fast thinking and calculating ability, and with it, he was able to correctly calculate the position of all the other old students, the rest were still about 2 minutes away from this location, that means he had to quickly kill this two students in between this two minutes or he would be in trouble.

After that, he willed the elemental energy back to his sword, this time using his entire strength and energy to clash with the student who was already in front of him.

the student was also a sword user, he covered his sword with ice, attacking Kiran too, their two swords met, Kiran stood his ground but the student, stumbled back a bit, before regaining his ground.

He still had not managed to kill this student with a single strike, he quickly charged towards him once again, they clashed several times, Kiran had managed to leave wounds on the student's body, but the student was still standing.

About 1 minute had passed, and the other student would soon be here, he had quickly found a way to kill this student, he could see the student was holding up, hoping to be saved by the remaining student.

Kiran put back his sword, he used the body control method to enlarge both hands and made the stance for the boxing technique, he had managed to learn the intermediate boxing technique but had not yet used it, he covered his entire body with elemental energy and rushed toward the student, throwing punches after punches, the student managed to dodge some, but most of the punches had hit the target.

Kiran had given up on defending, so he had wounds made by slashes of sword on his boy.

He grabbed the student's sword with his hands, yanking it away from the student, now the student was also unarmed just like him.

A loud yell came from afar, Kiran turned and saw that the student who had covered his body with a diamond-like shield, had just been killed by Leo.

Everything was finally coming to the place.

After killing the student Leo quickly started making his way towards Kiran, planning to help him kill this other student too.

The student fighting Kiran faltered as he saw this, Kiran managed to give him a serious punch, after this and he was sent flying, the student's nose had been broken and blood was flowing from it.

As Kiran was about to deliver the final blow, the other student finally appeared,

"Hahaha, now it's game over" the student on the ground who had a broken nose, laughed, finally relieved as he saw the other student.

Damm, it was already 2 minutes, time was out the other student are here, Kiran looked at the student with broken nose seeing how happy he was, this made him angry, and he decided to keep attacking, he threw one of the hardest punches he had ever made, towards the student's head, the students were too busy celebrating, that he did not see kirans attack coming.

Kiran met the student's unprotected head, smashing it completely. The student was dead.

The other students were completely angry as they saw this.

Kiran felt a heavy pressure coming down on his body, almost restricting his movement, he looked over and could see it was coming from the leader of the student.

The student raised his hand, condensing a lot of little spears, sending them flying toward the direction of Kiran.

"This is elemental discharge," Kiran thought as he saw the Spears made of metal rushing towards him, he would die if he got punctured by these spears, he was finding it hard to move due to the pressure from the student, the spears had almost hit his body, but he managed to dodge them, sweat dried from his forehead, that was a close shave.

He suddenly heard a loud shriek from his back, he turned back to see where the sound was coming from.

"Leo!!"
