"All students gather at the combat building"

A voice was heard in the transponder of every student in the Academy.

Kiran quickly washed up, got dressed, and started making his way towards the combat building, on his way he saw a lot of other students too, walking toward the building, different expressions could be seen from their faces as they walked, the new students looked anxious and disturbed, while the old student looked confident.

Kiran was excited about the tournament, he had trained and made a lot of preparation for the battle to come.

During this month he had fought with a lot of evolved monsters in the wild, but there was a different thrill when fighting a human evolutionist, the battles tend to be more fun and were better for training.

most of the evolved monsters didn't have a lot of intelligence, and that was why it was easier fighting them than humans, human had a lot of techniques, and intelligence.

As Kiran reached the combat building, they were already lots of students there, the students arranged themselves into two groups.

One group belonged to the new students while the other group belonged to the old student, who were cracking jokes and laughing as they conversed, the new student's group however was full of glum, Kiran could see that most of them were afraid of the old students.

The old students threw provocative glances at the new students trying to instill fear in their hearts, most of the new students will put their faces down, as their eyes met the old students, none of them wanted to be remembered by the old students, less they take them as targets.

Kiran looked at the old students calmly he was not intimidated one bit, by their actions, be could beat and defeat most of the ones, trying to intimidate the new students

"These are just a bunch of weak people who could not graduate with their peers, and the only thing they can do, instead of training harder and getting stronger, they are all here trying to bully the new students"

A loud voice said,

The entire atmosphere in the combat building turn frigid, as everyone heard the voice, the faces of the old students turned angry and sour, while the new students for thier faces, trying to to anger the old students.

"Who said that" one of the old students shouted, you could see anger on his face,

Apart from him all the other old student, wore angry gazes, after they heard that statement.

"It me Jian Zhi, the one who is going to put all of you, in your place one by one" a boy stepped out with confidence,

Kiran smiled as he saw Jian Zhi, this guy was not going to change, he was once again throwing his weight all around, he had got beaten up by Sam and had held a grudge against all the old students because of it.

"You little bastard, don't let me meet you in the tournament or am going to really show you, how much of a trash you are" the old student said gnashing his teeth.

The academy took in students every year and students were to graduate after two years in the academy, but the geniuses among the students would graduate in the first year.

the old students remaining now we're the ones who could not graduate earlier in their first year, which meant they were not the geniuses of their batch.

And that has always left a dent in their hearts, it was just like announcing to everyone that they were not the geniuses in their set.

"What are you going to do, am not afraid of anyone of you," Jiang Zhi said smirking, mocking the old students.

"You are really courageous", Kiran said looking at Jiang Zhi, he could see that Jiang Zhi was only in the 7th level of basic evolution.

"Kiran, the king of the new students, don't tell me even you are afraid of these old students, as the king of new students I am sure, you are going to kick their asses too"

He just had to include me, the old students looked angrily at Kiran, as they heard what Jian Zhi had just said, many of them taking note of Kiran, they were going to include him in their list of students to deal with.

"Am not as strong as you, how will I beat anyone" Kiran replied smiling, he could see Jian Zhi was just trying to get him into the pit too, the old students had all gotten angry after Jiang Zhi's insult, even though he was prepared he doesn't want all of which hunting him.

Jiang Zhi looked at Kiran trying to decipher his level of strength, but his sense was always blocked, so he though Kiran would at most have the same strength as him, he had used a lot of resources given by his family, in other to reach this height, even if kiran was a genius, he would not go more than this

As he was about to say something a large countdown appeared on the screen in front of all students from their transponder, informing them of when the tournament will commence.

All the students scrambled toward the virtual capsule, entering it.

A bulky instructor walked into the combat room.

"The virtual capsules are already connected, you should all enter and prepare to enter the virtual world.

Instructor Adam, the body evolution instructor, said making sure all the students had entered their virtual capsule.

As Kiran entered the capsule, the light flickered and he closed his eyes, and the moment he opened them back, he was inside the virtual space.

" DNA confirmed"

"Student Kiran Hamza"

"Preparing environment"

"Click"

Kiran found himself in a familiar environment, with comfortable chairs and tables, this was the space where the student would choose their settings before going to their intended virtual environment.

A screen popped out in front of Moran and he tapped it, the screen contained details about the tournament.

Kiran was kind of surprised after he read the information on the screen.

Tournament.

To be taken by both the new student and the old.

RULE: KILL ANYONE YOU SEE.

students will be arranged randomly on maps, of different locations.

Which meant the student will all have a different starting point and will have to go hunting for other students to kill, no matter how he looked at this, the new students were going to get massacred, they didn't know much about the location on the maps, and would not know where to hide away from the new students, this is the second time the new students have undertaken the tournament, and will be better informed about the various places.

As Kiran was still lost in thought, a voice came directly into his head.

"The Tournaments starts now"

Kiran was immediately transported from where he was and then into a large forest.

Kiran looked at his surrounding, it was populated with large tall trees covering the entire area, the place was so quiet, the sound he could be of the wind brushing against the leaves on the trees.

As he observed the forest, he concluded that this location was better for the new students, with the large trees covering all the place, they were a lot of places to hide away from the old students.

Across the entire forest, the old students were lamenting about the location, of the tournament, the trees all over the forest were going to be a serious hurdle in their way.

Kiran was excited about the location the Academy had chosen, and the best part was that it was that it was in the night, only the moonlight illuminated the entire forest, this would make hiding, very easy, while the old student would have to suffer looking for the new students.

Kiran looked over his surrounding trying to see if he was close to any student, he quickly pushed some of his aurora elemental energy to his eyes, he had found out about more things he could do when he activated the ability in his eyes.

Alert from seeing things faster, than in real time, he could also see farther places, and even microscopic views.

His eyes glowed in an Aurora color, and immediately his sights could see the farthest distance, of the place he was looking at, about 100 meters away from him he could see traces of a student there.

This was his biggest bet in the tournament, with the ability of his eyes, he would be able to detect students all over the place, as long as they were not more than 200 meters away from him, with this ability he would not have to suffer like the other students looking for a target, this would save his energy and increase his efficiency.

Kiran pushed back the rest of his elemental energy into his leg and activated his fast movement ability he had named blink, and some seconds later he was already about 15 meters near the student, but he did not show himself, he blended with the trees and leaves, preparing an ambush for the student.

Surprisingly the student was not actually on his guard, he was digging a hole, and from the looks of it, he had left his traces all over the place, trying to bait someone into checking the place out.

"So this is a trap"

The student had prepared to lure students here, and then when they fell into the hole he would attack them, this was done by an old student, only they would think of this kind of method.

Kiran thought for some time and then decided not to attack the student, since the student had set a trap, he would also wait to see someone fall for it.

And after about 5 minutes, a new student came looking around the place,

The new students and old students were in the different outfit during the tournament, the new students were in black outfits, which would help conceal where they were while the old student was in revealing yellow outfits, and the students were not allowed to interchange outfits, this was done intentionally by the Academy, trying to level out the plain field.

Kiran was still meters nearby, hidden behind a tree blending himself with the surrounding.

"Has he not noticed this was a trap"

Kiran looked as the new student got closer to the hole the old student had dug,

As the new student walked and was almost near the hole, he seemed to have figured out something and then halted his steps, he was about to quickly leave, when a yellow figure jumped out from on top of a tree, blocking the new student way.

The new student tried to run back the other way, but he was directly punched by the old student,

He drew back some steps before stabilizing his stand.

"Tough one right,"

The old student said with a smirk.

The new student prepared himself to fight, as there was no way the old student would allow him to run.

And They started exchanging blows.

Kiran watched the fight from where he was hiding, the old student was just in the 8th level the same as Kiran, but the new student was in the 7th level, which made Kiran surprised, in this tournament the new student would be considered one of the strongest of the old students.

Their fight went on for about 5 minutes, and no winner could be seen, the new student had put up a great fight against the old student.

" you are tough Kid, but this is the end"

the old student uttered as he activated some kind of technique, flames could be seen covering his two hands, the new student faltered as he saw this, he had always heard of the elemental technique and this was his first time of seeing one.

The old student, sent punches towards the boy once again, the new student defended, but his skin was always left burnt whenever he defended,

As the old student saw how well the boy had defended even though he was left injured, the old student joined both of his hands together, creating a billowing fire round the two hands, the fire shot towards the new student, it was so fast he didn't have time to evade before his entire body was caught on fire.

Kiran was surprised as he watched the scene of how the fire shot towards the boy, he had always believed only junior evolutionists could shoot elemental energy away from their body, and that was what was written in the books, but the old student had successfully shot fire elemental energy from his body.

He could see the old student had used some kind of technique that had drained him of energy, and he was panting by side, Kiran wanted to know how he had achieved shooting elemental energy from his body at the basic evolution realm.

The old student sat down resting trying to recover the energy he was used to sending that last attack, but unknown to him the whole fight had been witnessed by Kiran, if this was not the tournament Kiran would have helped the new student, but during the tournament, every student was a target. He wasn't familiar with the boy, there was no need for him to go that far.

"Well, that's one point down,"

The old student said while still panting.

"I can't believe I was forced to use my trump card to fight a random unknown from the new students, all these bastards are all so abnormal, it been just a month and they have almost caught up with us old students," as he was lamenting about his fight, he felt the air ruffle and heard a sound of steps.

"Who is there?"
