Lunar Flames

Waking up to the sound of an alarm screaming and remembering after hitting snooze for the third time that today is the day the pack will finally find out where they rank in the hierarchy. Falling out of bed Drake catches him self on his hands and springs up in one motions almost looking practiced like he ment to do it. sadly no one was ever around here in the mornings anymore he has been on his own since he turned twelve and his adopted mom thought he was ready to live alone. She still came to check on him some times but the old she-wolf was already stretched thin with her real family. that never stopped him from missing her and he never really felt at home there since he was hiding a secret from everyone in the pack. "don't forget partner that our mate is there" Daygon his beast spoke to him making the now eighteen year old shifter to freeze. "why in earth would you say that now day you know I this goes bad we won't be able to come her she will reject us on the spot" he spoke to the voice out loud being alone has it's perks. then he saw him in the reflection in the mirror instead of himself. Daygon was smirking and then shook his head his eyes gleamed the ruby red ring around there molten gold center almost glowed with amusement. Drake scoffed "real mature man now I can't get dressed and we are already going to be late." the beast withdrew chuckling letting his partner see himself again. his six foot four and barely cheated from came into view. the shaggy dusty gold blond hair hiding his eyes from view even though he knew for sure that Daygon was still make them simer like his own. then he realized something it was faint at first but he could smell her. His mate she was close her strawberry and morning dew sint was getting stronger slowly. panicked "she is on her way here I bet she thinks we over slept again" he snapped at Daygon in he head rushing to finish getting dressed his ripped up black giens where the only thing he had on till now. He jumped from the loft where he slept in the house he was given by his adopted family since he wasn't actually there blood when he was old enough he had to be moved to a separate home so he wouldn't be accused of taking advantage of his adopted family thanks to pack laws. the black shirt with the name of his favorite band was laying out on the table and he pulled it on sliding socks on and his feet into black leather boots just before she got to the door lacing them just as she knocked. she never knocked that's wired and it made Daygon uneasy and this is a beast who even when the alpha used an alpha order on him never backed down or was afraid of anything but this change made him feel uncomfortable. agreeing with him Drake stood up and oppend the door to see her standing there her midnight black hair done up in a brade that held it all back behind her and the thought of what he could do with her and that rope of hair if she would let him distracted him for a moment before he saw the look in her eyes. heart broken that's all he could call the look she was heart broken and it made Daygon roar to be let lose on the ones who did this to his mare his soul. drake almost agreed but he was afraid of what the others would say if he did let daygon shine and that was enough to stop him and ask her "who did this to you sky" his voice hard and tairifing the only thing it could be compared to would be the sound of rocks rolling down a mountain side. her eyes glowed that soft glacier blue of her wolf as she answered "no one I just....I needed to see you before class and ask you if there was anything you wanted to talk to me before we find out our ranks I mean we both know mine is alpha since my mother and father are both alphas but I'm going to take the test anyway so no one has the right to say I'm an alpha in name only" her eyes looked like she was beginning him to say something and he was going to brake down and do it but he couldn't risk it he heard one of the teachers talking one day saying that no mater what his blood came back as he was going to be made an omega for the simple fact he never learned how to shift and he almost let Daygon show that teacher the truth but wasn't ready to expose his secret yet. looking away like he was looking for his keys he lied to her braking his own heart "naw I havent got anything to talk to you about right now that I can remember sky" and as he said it he saw the hurt in her eyes and she hit him with her full lycan force sending him on to his ash table in the living room and she growled at him as he sat there staring at her not aure if he was turned on or offended that she did that. Her eyes glowed brighter "you know I'm heading to the alpha private academy after this and you still aren't going to claim me as your mate I guess the crescent goddess gave me a coward as a mate!". she stormed of almost sprinting to get away from him leaving only her sint on his chest from the hit and the pain of his heart for thinking he could have her waiting for him for over a year knowing there bond and still not say it. Daygon's voice sounded hurt as well as he spoke "we should chase her and and show her she is our mate she would understand.". Rage boiled over in him not at his mate but at everything. "you remember how mom reacted the first and only time we ever shifted in front of anyone ever again unless our life is on the line". and with that he stormed out of the house and headed to the last day of highschool. Still angry as the doors open and he walks to the teachers who are sorting students and handing out caps and gowns and taking samples of the blood of each student to use to see who has the alpha gene and so on making it simple. he walked straight up and as soon as he did the collector just looked at him. The collector started smirking "we don't need to test your blood. we already know someone who can't even shift hast to be an Omega just go get your basic cap and gown and dont waist anyone else's time." turning away to speak to a different student. six hours went by the ceremony passed and he was looking for her everywhere literally he check every place she would normally be after the way this morning went he was beating him self up inside and even thought about getting into a fight just to let out some of the paranoid energy. Fear of not finding her was getting to him when finally he hears one of the kids who was lucky enough to get tested and found out he's a beta talking about the private school for future alpha and beta pack members and how the pack alphas daughter went there first thing pretty much as soon as they did the test and she walked across the stage they left. Hearing thi pps he lost it his mind went blank and he saw red how could she abandon him? Who was going to watch her back? Who was going to make sure people respected her? Daygon wanted blood and so did he and when one of the beta kids recognized him and saw his omega patch they thought they would push him. It was the last mistake he made for a while. -6 years later- Rain pouring down in the narrow space between buildings as a man runs as fast as he can trying to get away from the shadow that keeps chasing him appearing at every corner until he hits a dead end and there is no where left to run. "come on man I didn't do anything why you guys always harassing the omegas when s**t god wrong?". The man steamed in the rain and then a voice like an avalanche comes calling back "if it where up to me id have been chasing someone else but your my guy on the streets so when you fu©k up I have to come sort it out." Drake slips out of a shadow. all six and a half feet of him covered head to towe in black. and he smirks at his long time friend and steps closer to him trying to calm him down. "you know they wanted me to just shoot you and hang you out on a rope to make a point." He says to the man then it hits him the small he would know anywhere even in the pouring rain. his mate was her she finally came home.
