Skylar went through the tedious process of being brought home and even having to be re-introduced to people she had known for most of her life to this point. she went through the motions like a puppet on a sting and even played the part of the road weary daughter. after almost an hour of the theatrics she got out of it by being honest. well at least mostly honest as she said she was looking forward to the party and that she would need to freshen up first and excused herself from the rest of the meetings politely as she could. to be honest she was just feeling overwhelmed and upset by the fan fare surrounding her and she needed to escape it. thanks to the last few years if schooling she learned how to use her wolfs abilities without the need to fully change. Thanks to this her wolf was always near the surface now ready to take over if she needed to and Aurelia always thought she needed to especially when her mate was involved or mentioned.

"our mate is hurt can't you feel it" Aurelia asked as she forced Skyler to hear and feel everything around her to the point of overload needing to strip off her silk shirt feeling like it was made of burlap and rubbing her skin raw. "enough of this we will see Drake tonight before the party so stop acting like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum." . Her skin was crawling and it itched and burned with the need to shift. Her thoughts were a mess and she just wanted to go wash off the last remnants of the private school she had been all but held prisoner in.

As the day passed slowly feeling like hours in only minutes her body grew more and more sensitive as if her and her wolf were about to go into heat but that wasn't possibly her heat wasn't supposed to come on for another week at the soonest. but here she was sensitive to all forms of touch, almost feverishly warm even for a lycanthrope, her insides felt like they were moving around like she was trying to shift but couldn't. that wasn't to mention the images in her mind that danced almost like a fever dream or hallucinations, some good and some bad and some more then a little to imaginative of drake and how she had wanted him to behave when she saw him. Skyler decided to keep her dignity and grace that a cold shower would be in order. The icy cold water coming from the shower was equal parts relieving and painful on her heated skin. letting the water run down her body at first only added to the images in her mind giving physical touches to the thoughts but slowly the cold running water washed them down the drain. Skyler relaxed finally and was ready to actually shower off but was worried that warm water would bring the feelings back so she scrubbed off her skin cream white and prickled with goosebumps making her already toned and shapely body even tighter her chest was still so sensitive it was sore in a good way but painfully obvious that she was in need but that could also have just been the cold making them stand up like little mountains against her rather large but firm chest. She toweled off and tried to avoid those places that were needing the most attention due to their sensitivity.

Sneaking out the room was easy she leaped down the side of the wall landing silently and sprinting away in an outfit that if you looked close enough you would notice it was high class brands but looked like any other grey sweatshirt and pants combo ever. heading deep into the woods and cutting a sharp turn to the old part of the pack territory working her way out to the old rundown shack she hadn't seen in almost 7 years the smell of the musky smell of old timber and dirt mixed with the slight undertone of his scent like anise and mint but long faded out. The rain had become more like a light mist and the world seemed still and quiet compared to the advanced academy and it's loud and rowdy males who always tried to dominate each other and even more often the females who just wanted to get their studies done so they could go home and take over for their mothers as Luna's or what ever the title for the other shifter races called the lead female.

Aurelia started to get uncomfortable her hackles raised and something not feeling right. The feeling made Skylar much more cautious, standing still as a board trying to blend into the shadows but she knew that her scent was too strong even being washed clean in the rain and mist. What could be making her feel hunted in her own pack territory? Who would be stupid enough to even try this kind of suicide mission? she thought not actually asking Aurelia but knowing she was listening. Then they heard it the sound was gone she hadn't noticed since it was raining but even then something always made noise in the woods. It was movement but not like you would expect it was more like the absence of sound marking the movement something that even most specialists can't do. Moving without even making the grass in the move under your feet. Skylar wished she would have at least brought her phone so she could send a message at least one outside had breached the border. At least one was actively trying to stalk her and move through her territory and get into a position near her.

But that wasn't going to happen she was an alpha by birth and she would not be intimidated by one shifter even if it was a lycan she would be able to hold her own and send a message along the pack path but she couldn't do that until she knew who she was facing in case she was over reacting and she was being spooked by one of her own men but she didn't think that was the case. A sweet soft smell came wafting in the air and started to thicken with an almost nostalgic smell touching old memories but never grabbing hold of anything just sending thoughts reeling back. Aurelia started to get even more agitated but oddly Skylar couldn't tell why then she had the vague thought that she did know but couldn't focus on anything the smell had driven her thoughts too far away at this point and she felt tired like her body was slowly turning off getting heavy with exhaustion then the darkness closed in as three forms walked into the old cabin and she just couldn't stay awake any more.
