She as thinking ahead to what awaited her at Mary’s and hoping that her daughter did not get too anxious and start searching without her. Using her hands-free option on her phone, she called Lucy to tell her she was on her way to pick her up. As she stepped on the gas pedal, she disconnected with Lucy and headed to her cousin’s home.
